“Hey “he caught her eye and smiled
She smiled back “Hey there “
“Would you like a coffee or something? “
“No – I just got one thanks “
She flicked through her mobile but her attention was on the tall, dark man who was facing her. He raised his eyebrows at her and gave her another winning smile. She smiled back and dropped her gaze.
“Nice day “he said
“Yes – it is “
It’s always nice – it’s LA for Gods sake Paige heard the cynical voice in her say – but the romantic part of her soul told her with a shiver that this man was hitting onto her.
Just as he was about to speak to her again his phone rang and he flicked it open
“Hello – no – I want to cancel – because I cannot take who I was going to – no – I don’t care about the deposit I just want the rest of the money back – insurance bullshit – just keep the deposit and give me the rest of the $4000 back – no – I’ll call into your office later – yes – thanks – goodbye “
He slammed the phone shut and picked up the plastic stirrer that he had been mixing his teabag with – he snapped it and snapped it again – throwing the shards onto the brown tray underneath his cup. Paige raised her eyebrow
“You don’t work for a travel agent do you? “He said
“No- but I was a dancer on a cruise ship in my dim distant past “
His eyes told her that this was his idea of a woman
“I booked a surprise trip for my girlfriend and our two kids to Niagara Falls “
“Problem?”
“She dumped me “
“Sorry to hear that “
“Is it so hard to look after a woman these days “he said shaking his head?
“Not many women want it and not many men want to. I would love a man to look after me and my son “
“You have a son? “
“Yeah – Jared “
He smiled at her and pushing his tea cup aside he leant closer
“Do you want to come to Niagara Falls with me? My name’s Henry by the way “

It’s a small, small world. That’s a whole lot of happy endings for one story. Still having difficulty wrapping my head around Shane drinking a Dr. Pepper, though.
If only Carmen would come back to the show. The woman that plays Paige on the show has her own show, “Painkiler Jane” as the leading character on the SciFi channel- or something like that. I wonder if she is coming back next season? Anyway, glad Shane stayed clear of the drugs and that Carmen & Shay were on the other side of the door. Henry & Paige what an interesting pair!

I hope IC reads this… season 5 – the Jo/Ally version… now that would be something. Paige and Henry… I can definately see that. Shane and Carmen well that’s a given… And I KNOW you would create the perfect and hilarious TiBette reunion. Maybe Jodi and Marina could hook up… Hmmm… Well, this is fun. Thank you!

YEAH Carmen!!! Ok I loved Carmen and Shane together. Don’t get me wrong, Paige is beautiful, but she’s no Carmen! I often think that Shane is the character that has shown the most growth since season 1. I’d like to see it pay off and have her try again with Carmen on the show with her new found desire to have a family. Thanks Guys..this was great!
