    SITUATIONS FIVE – Chapter 3

Situations Five – Alice & Tasha

    “Tash…, I can’t let you go…!”

    “Alice…, I…, I…”

“Please…, isn’t there any way that you can stay here?”

“Alice, honey…, I’ve been posted back there…, its part of my duty…”

“But what about if we…, I don’t know…, if we went out on your motorbike…, and we crashed it…, they wouldn’t be able to send you if you broke your leg or arm or…, please…”

Tasha smiled at the blonde woman in front of her, the woman who was completely insane…, completely off the wall…, who made her laugh like no one had ever done before…., had made love to her in the most passionate, loving and tender way imaginable…, the woman she had accidentally fallen in love with…, the woman she now had to leave behind while she served a tour of duty…, and how could she promise that she would be back, that she would come straight back after her twelve months stint…, she didn’t know…, no one did…

Tasha brought her hand to Alice’s cheek, traces of sand from the previous night spent on the beach still evident in the wisps of hair framing the fraught features…

    “Alice…”

    “Please…” came the whisper.

    “I love you…”

Alice looked up, looked into the deep eyes, the quiet sincerity of a woman who had so unexpectedly come along and filled the void that was still so deep and raw…, it was a void that she thought would never quite be the same…, not since…, not since the person she had told Tasha all about last night…

As they had laid in the evening sunset, watching as the sun slowly meandered toward the ocean, the moments as the full deep pink sphere became mesmerising…, the realisations of the inevitable…, the possibilities of Alice once again being faced with losing someone she loved…, and as the eventual reality sank in, just as the sun settled behind the endless view, Alice’s quiet voice expressed what her heart was afraid of…

    “I can’t lose you too…”

    “You won’t…”

    “How do you know that…?”

“I’ve never had someone to come home to before…”

“You know…, I have a good mind to call that wanker in The White House…”

    1. Well, I just caught up with this. Shite! (this seems to be a word you’re both in favor of LOL) this collaboration is a force to be reckoned with… Ally and Jo in cahoots… it has got to be good. And it SO is… I love your idea of writing from all the different characters’ perspectives. So eclectic… and it’s so darn funny… I need a good laugh these days and you guys are bringing it – every time. So thank you for this… can’t wait for the next chapter. And Jo, I hope this is the medicine you need to get over that block thing…

    2. Wow… and that for a woman who throws around the W-word… Amazing! Its wonderfull to see you do your magic and merge the insanely beautifull with the hilarious! Great! Ally girl, your turn!

    3. LMAO ! Excellent chapter ! I need to confess that when I realized that the chapter was going to be about Alice and Tasha I thought ( just for a second ) about skipping this chapter ( I’m sorry but Tasha bores the “L” out of me and I don’t care one bit about this couple. I liked Dana and Alice much better, but I’m digressing… ), but since you guys are soooooo incredibly talented I decided I would give it a shot… And well, I definitely don’t regret it. Now, I must say that I’m a bit disappointed to hear that Miss Porter is not POTUS yet as I too thought she had been elected years ago ???!!! I remember very clearly voting for her.

    4. Yes Alice, Bette would be a very HOT president.**don’t we all wish*** Very funny chapter, but then anytime Alice speaks, I laugh. Exceptional story. PS.

    5. This was excellent. I hope you continue it. These two are my second favorite couple. Writer’s block can be so hard to deal with, but it looks like you’re on the right track.

    6. That was quite the tale they spun about Bette in the Whitehouse. I want documetation from Ally about ther Berger, though. I hope Tasha comes back and Alice stays put. She’d only cause more trouble for everyone over there.

    7. Wait…I thought Bette was the President according to Ally! LMAO! Guys…this was excellent and I laughed hard to start my day. Jo – I um…got your comment Mate. I was hoping that if I threw in Levi’s you’d write another few chapters to go with the past ones you did on Levi’s and Bette. This time Tina can borrow them…and Bette wants them back..and she has to practically rip them off to get them back and..wow look how we’re into an NC-17 already! LMAO…take care and we’ll chat soon!

    8. Hey Gal, More humor than you can shake a stick at. Loved it. Typical of Alice to think that she can switch careers that quickly and without consequence. Loved the light hearted links to the “The L Wing”. Brilliant! More please… Your Loyal Fan.

    9. girls, girls……you two are too much…well not actually, but way tooooo funny..and the sign language and bette liking the sound of her own voice…Brilliant, just brilliant…

    10. “She likes the sound of her own voice too much,…” I swear I laughed my butt off at this. LMFAO!!!!!! And hey! According to sandscribe, Alice can do news-type stuff in a war zone. ;)

    11. BETTE PORTER FOR PRESIDENT! I swear, I’ve suggested this campaign before… I mentioned I’d be a White House intern. :D Anyway, great as always. Need I really say more? x Kettle

    12. I would love to see Alice do The Chart live from Iraq. She can go on and on about the Don’t ask, Don’t tell policy and have all the soldiers who come out, sent home.
