And Samantha is one of those people who not only bring joy to those around her with her music but also giving her time and her kind heart to those in need. She recently went to Antarctica and right before that happened we had a chance to ask her a few questions that reveal her feelings on a being a female musician and what it means to her.
L-word: What is the most challenging in your music career and in your life right now?
Samantha: The most challenging thing in my Music career & life right now Is staying authentic in the face of a constantly changing industry, as a constantly evolving woman. And I’m going on an expedition to Antarctica in a few months to camp and learn about Climate change affecting the ice caps.
L-word: Name five things people/fans don’t know about you.
Samantha: I’m a 5th generation Los Angelenian, my great-great-grandfather was an early industrialist of LA in the mid-19th century. I cut my own hair (like a banzai tree) & frequently put makeup on without a mirror. I’ve been in love twice. I’ve always wanted to act… a supporting role in a gritty indie drama.
