    ONE AND ONLY

    CHAPTER 52

    “Well I think there is only one toast we can have tonight” Kate said picking up her cocktail. If they really got stuck into the cocktails there was no way this evening was going to end sober or sane. Oh well – they were all mature and responsible women – nothing wrong with them letting their hair down.

    “I agree — our daughters “ Rosemary said

    “Our daughters “ Emma agreed and they all clinked their glasses together before taking long drinks of the strong cocktails

    Emma put her drink down and ate some nuts from the bowl in front of her

    “I don’t know about the two of you but I really am struggling to get my head round this – I mean – the three of us were so close at college and suddenly after all this time we meet up again by chance and our daughters are now in love a with one another and they are a couple. Its just mind blowing “

    Rosemary held her hands up “ It is crazy but its also awesome. They look so happy and so good together “
    “What I want to know “ said Kate “Is how the hell you knew that not only were they both gay but crazy about one another – we didn’t see it “

    “So much for your gay-dars “ Rosemary teased “ I mean – how can the two of you NOT have seen what was so obvious “
    “Was it so obvious ?” Kate asked

    “Well there is no way you didn’t have some ideas that Tina was “

    Emma nodded “We did – we talked about it a lot – she went out with guys – well one or two but she never seemed even remotely that interested in them – not compared to how the boys were. So – yes – we were fairly confident that Tina was bisexual at the least and out and out gay was possible. I think she has been really sensible – she has taken her time and been really certain how she feels. For that I am very proud of her – she’s taken her time, she has really explored her thoughts and feelings – and she’s come to the conclusion that she is. But what really did shock me was that Bette is gay – did you know that ?”

Uhm… About the girls, i think your way of telling is much better than me trying to comment anything but “uhm..” :-p Well yeah..
