“I love the new school – its just brilliant – really cool and the teachers are great and so are the kids “

“Good – so tell me what this situation is “
Tina took a deep breath and started to tell her father about Shane and Carmen and how cool they were. Then she talked about Bette – even after a few minutes Matthew could tell that Tina had a crush on the brunette. He let her talk for as long as she wanted. Finally when she went silent he looked at her
“So – to sum up as I would do in court – you have come out to two of your friends – who happen to be lesbians and you have been really accepted by them and everyone else. Then there is this Bette who is beautiful but doesn’t know it but doesn’t have OCD personality even though that was what her parents thought – she’s just shy.”
“So shy its crazy – she’s top of virtually ever class and she’s shy – she is obviously going to walk her exams and get into Yale and probably get a 1st” Tina explained
“And you fancy her ?”
Tina exhaled “Yes “
“You don’t know if she is gay or not ?”
“Shane and Carmen think she is – she does check girls out – she doesn’t even seem to register guys. We waiting to use the basketball court a couple of weeks ago and one of the local jocks was playing without his shirt on – just his shorts and sneakers. God the girls drooled, I have to admit he was buff and nice to look at but Bette was watching one of the girls who was bending down tying up her trainers”
Matthew considered this fresh piece information
“That is a major clue I must say “
“I want to date her “
“But you don’t know if she is gay or if she is looking for a relationship”
“I want to get to know her – she’s deep.. I know she isn’t easy to get close to but since I was old enough to know what it meant that nothing worthwhile is easy.”
“I think you have a good attitude Tina – let me ask you – would you want to get to know her if you didn’t find her so sexy ?”
