“No – he must know that she looks like me and I thought that he had leapt to the assumption that she is my daughter “
“Did you put him right ?”
“All I said was that Angie is OUR daughter – he didn’t need to know any more than that. I am sure that they have made assumptions based on what Louise told them”
“We don’t know what other people at the school told her – even if it was before they were warned against discussing us with them “
“I don’t think they know much. And he didn’t ask. I did think that he was dying to ask – but – well I think he didn’t think he had the right to ask about Angie “
Tina shook her head “This is crazy “
“I know that babe. There was a part of me that wanted to tell him things but I didn’t tell him anything. “
“Thank you – I know how much you like to boast about your daughter”
“My daughter and my fiancé “ Bette said “ I am proud of you both “
Tina rubbed her eyes again “I don’t know what to think Bette “
“I think that its something that is going to take some time for you to get your head around – you know that I am here for you “
“I do – thank you again Bette “
“I signed up to do anything that you needed me to – you and A “
Tina snuggled close to Bette again “I never thought I would hear from him again. I never thought I would have to face any of them “
“I wish I knew what to say to you Tina – I can understand if you just want to forget them and get on with your life and I can also understand if you at least wanted to ask him some questions “
“I know what I said the other week “
“Don’t make any decisions – he is not asking for a meeting tomorrow or next week or ever. He just wanted you to know how they both feel about you and that they will do all they can to control that freak of a sister of yours “
“Do you think that he will ?”
Bette sighed “I think they will do as much as they can “
Tina looked up at Bette
“What do you think – about Louise I mean ?”
“I think if anyone can control her its your mom and dad. If she does blame you and the rest of the world for what has happened to her she must be devoted to her parents so they presumably can control her “
Tina touched the ring on Bette’s finger – the ring she had given her on Saturday
“I hope they can “
“I made it plain that I didn’t want to cause trouble and I wouldn’t be doing it for the sake of doing it but I would do what I can to protect the two of you”
“I don’t know what to do Bette – I really don’t “

That would be such a hard decision for me too, I can understand Tina’s delimna, but go Bette, she is Mama Bear for sure, don’t mess with her woman and baby Angel. Thanks for the update.
