Chapter 65
　
Bette sat quietly as Tina read the report that Bette’s PI had sent her. She didn’t touch the whiskey that Bette had put beside her. Bette could see that Tina was getting very emotional
“My dad has white hair “ she whispered “Oh God he looks so old “
“Its been a long time “ Bette said – she was very concerned how Tina was going to react to this. They had both agreed that she needed to know all about her parents and her sister and they had also agreed that it would be hard for her. But Tina wanted to know – anything she discovered was better than not knowing and just making things up in her head.
“Mom “ Tina’s tears were streaming down her face “She hasn’t really changed – she is pretty “
“I can see where you get it from “
Tina looked up and accepted Bette handing her a paper tissue “Thanks “
Tina dried her eyes “ I am not sure what I thought they would be doing “
“They seem to live a blameless life “ Bette moved so she was sitting on the end of the chair that Tina was sitting in.
“Its not exactly like where I grew up “
“Obviously it was too much for them to go back to Carolina “
“It would have been hard to see the family of the man you murdered don’t you think ?”
“Yeah – there is always that – are you okay ?”
“I don’t know “
Bette put her arm around Tina’s shoulder and pulled her closer and kissed her hair
“I think you should read your sister’s report as well “
Tina looked up at Bette
“I am not sure “
“You need to read it “ Bette said
“Give me the highlights “ Tina said – she felt sick in her stomach- seeing all the details about her parents had been a harder experience than she had expected it to be.
“She tried to stab a girl she was at school with when she was 15 – that got her expelled. She was send down from college for attacking someone. She did finally finish her education and qualify to be a teacher “

I am so glad that Bette was ther for Tina when she found out about her parents and sister, it was kinda funny when Bette told Tina she sees were she got her looks from, regarding her Mother. Tina did the right thing in not taking that drink. I can’t wait for the wedding.
Great update…waiting impatiently for it. Tina’s background is certainly colorful…I am sure it had a huge impact on who she became… PPVS

Good shoot! I miss this story so much!!! Bette is in her better way now, she can handle things with more strength but so quietly, that’s great. Can’t wait for next update.
It’s so sad to think of Bette’s life before Tina and Angie came into it. I’m so glad they found each other again.I’m a little concerned about Tina’s sister’s past record with a knife….doesn’t sound too good.
