Chapter 14
Over the next couple of days, Tina was too busy to plan anything for winning Bette back. Truth be told even when she did have time, she had no experience to fall back on so her thoughts just ended in frustration. She would simply have to take Al’s advice and allow her love for Bette to guide her.
On Tuesday, as per usual, Bette was going to stop by to pick up Ang but she had called to ask if she could do so earlier since she wanted to talk to Tina. No one else would have been able to sense a difference in Bette’s tone but Tina knew there was something bothering her. She agreed and after hanging up tried to determine if this would bode well for her.
She made a quick call to Al for advice but Al decided that they needed to meet for lunch.
When Tina got to the restaurant, she spotted Al at a table with Papi.
“Hi guys.” Tina greeted and leaned over to give both a kiss on the cheek.
“Princesa. You look hot in you’re wheeler dealer suit”
“Thank you.” She grinned tightly, her dimples prominent. “You don’t look so bad yourself” she commented on Papi’s tight black jeans and vest.
“Gracias”
“Hey, what about me?” Al asked.
“Oh Alice. You are always the epitome of fashionista.”
Both Al and Papi snorted at this but Papi quickly received one of Al’s challenging glare. To this Papi just smirked and shrugged.
“Al, not that I’m not happy to see Papi but you really think this might be dire enough to call in reinforcements?” Tina asked.
“TK, you know my saying…” Al quizzed, waiting for the answer.
“Use every opportunity…Al you drilled it into me Sunday” Tina answered.
“Well I have another – horses for courses.” Al smiled widely, obviously proud of her clever new motto.
Tina and Papi shared confused looks to which Al sighed with overt exasperation.
“It means when you have a tooth ache, you go to a dentist, and when your car breaks down you go to a mechanic and when you need to seduce someone…”

Yea, Tina.I tell you that Al needs to whisper about Jodi and Nicky in Bette’s ear. Bette thinks that she can trust Jodi? What a joke! PPS. Yes, while it’s true that as an author you leave yourself open for criticism but folks don’t need to be rude while commenting. Just a bit tactful.
I’ve been reading along but I haven’t comment until now and I must say this is a wonderful story. I think Alice needs to tell Bette what had happened with Jodi and Nicky because I think that will push Bette in the right direction to where Tina is. I have the feeling that Bette does still love Tina passionately and wants to be with her, she just needs a shove or more like a kick from good ol’ Al! LOL
I just now registered so that I could comment. I’ve been a silent reader for a couple of months now (new to this whole thing) but felt compelled to say ‘keep up the good work’. I love how you write these characters. I’ve read some stories, which shall remain nameless, that I felt had absolutely no connection with the Bette and Tina that we know and love. I simply quit reading those stories. As a (hopefully) potential poster I take heart in the fact that there are likely many more supportive comments than negative ones. Just wanted to say that and introduce myself to all. On with the story!! PPS.
In case I haven’t mentioned it before, Jodi sucks.
Wow!! Two post in one day, you know how to make a girl’s day. I can’t believe that Tina is being so noble about not telling Bette. But hey why hurt the one that you love when you can slowly work yourselves back to one another. PPS!! Love the way s/l is going.
I just want to add my support to you for this wonderful story. I know most everyone has said that Al should tell Bette about seeing Jodi with Nicky, but I’m not sure Bette would even believe her at this point. I think Bette needs to see this for herself because then there will be no doubt in her mind. I really love your writing Robi so please keep it up. Thanks!

I am amazed that Tina did not reveal that she caught Jodi cheating on Bette. My only fear is that Jodi will not continue with her affair with Nicky to fight for Bette. In the long run we all know that Jodi will continue to cheat on Bette. Tina on the other hand knows how much Bette means to her and will continue to work on their relationship as a family and as lovers.
Tina is awesome and yeah win your woman back girl!
If I could give you 6 stars for this absolutely wonderful story I would, no doubt about it. Please continue!

Bette’s got *such* a dilemma on her hands… what’s the right decision? She’s got Tina, the love of her life, apologizing for the past hurts, declaring her love, and saying she’s willing to wait. Bette’s also got Jodi, unceremoniously dumping Angie in a back room whilst “babysitting”, having snogging sessions with her “sister”, and tattling on Tina to Bette cos she knows she can’t hold a candle to the ex. Decisions, decisions… and Bette doesn’t even know all the facts yet. Time for Tina to take off the gloves. All’s fair, etc. Great post, Robi.

Jenny… Jenny… Jenny…. where are you… we need you to tell bette about jodie and her “SISTER”… sorry i have been away for a few days and i just caught up… love this story… and it could be on the show… damm it should be on the show… jodie doesn’t love bette… so it shouldn’t take too long… and i have to add something about a few chapters ago… jodie babysitting angie… and in another room… all by her self… thats a NO-NO for a hearing person… and now add jodie to that mix… she is lucky angie is a good baby and that nothing happened… please continue
Bette can’t trust Jodie…where did she get that from? Don’t fight your feelings Bette. Tina should have said something to Bette about Jodie being in the other room while “watching” Angie. Interested to see Tina’s next move.
Robi – nice story … girl friend and as a “dedicated” tibette fan, this story is trully one of my favorites so keep up the great work. Also thanks for doing 2 postings in one day, made my day , looking forward to your next posting

I really like the way this story is developing – the pace, the characters depth/ethics. So glad you decided to keep going and you even seemed to have inspired some silent readers to “come out of the closet” so to speak!!PPS
I’m with Amanda, Jenny (Jodi’s favorite) should be the one to tell Bette, or Jodi could get caught by Bette. Either way once Bette finds out about Nancy, I hope that she finds out that Tina knew, but didn’t want to hurt her by telling he. Go B&T!!
Jodi is such a CHUMP for running to Bette about what Tina said to her. Why not juist step and take the challenge, Chump?
