Leave The Memories Alone: Chapter 12

    Chapter 12

Tina had spent at least two hours looking over her black leather hand-bound picture album. They were the personal pictures of them as a couple, of Angie growing up, and Bette pregnant with Johnathan. Those were here favorites, the ones with Bette pregnant.

She was so beautiful with that excited smile and the protruding belly. There was pictures of Bette lying down on the bed and Tina kissing her belly tenderly.

Oh how she wanted to remember that. Bette had done the same things in the pictures of Tina pregnant with Angie. She wanted to remember that too, it was the missing link what she needed to connect to Angie truly.

She sighed sadly and closed the picture album. After remembering the Bette’s naked photo shoot she spent hours trying to remember what happened after but it just wouldn’t come to her. Bette had left her alone with her frustration mostly because Johnathan kept crying.

She walked up the stairs exhausted and saw that Angie had fallen asleep on the couch next to Bette and Johnathan. Bette was laying with her head back and Johnathan against her chest. Angie was laying across the couch with her head on Bette’s lap. The T.V was still running but the volume wasn’t very high.

Tina smiled at the sight and sighed, she didn’t want to feel distanced from her family. Trying to remember what they remembered made her feel distant even though they were closer than ever. Tears rushed to Tina’s eyes and her shoulders started shaking as she sobbed.

Why did this have to happen? Why did she have to lose her entire life in one day?

The doorbell ringing made Tina jump up so high she nearly tripped over a nearby table. She glanced over at her family and saw that they were still asleep. She hastily wiped her tears and walked over to the door.

She opened the door tentatively and saw a blonde man with silky blonde hair and hazel eyes in a suit.

    "Tina," he said sadly.

Tina recognized him from the picture her parents had showed her but she didn’t know what to say.

"Do you recognize me?" He said.

"I saw you in a picture," Tina said, "you’re Adam, my twin brother."
