    Becoming Dana Fairbanks Chapter 27

    Chapter 27

After exiting their fourth store of the day, Dana announced that she could not continue until they had gotten something to eat.  Dana would have never thought in a million years that she would have met someone that was a bigger shopaholic than Tina, but apparently today Harrison was dead set in proving her wrong.

“How about that café over there,” Harrison indicated by pointing to the café in question with his bag laden hand?

Ten minutes later, the duo were seated and had placed there order.

Looking at one of his many purchases Harrison said, “Ooo, I am going to look so fine in this. Pink is definitely my color.”

Dana couldn’t help but chuckle at her friend.

Despite all the drama the night before with Lara and Conrad, today was actually turning out to be a good day.  When they had met in the hotel lobby to go for their morning run, Harrison had initially questioned why Dana hadn’t tried to meet up with Harrison to go out.  Once Dana had filled him in about what happened after he left (skipping over Conrad’s little tirade after Lara left, however), Harrison was more than willing to cut Dana some slack.

“Yes, it definitely is your color,” Dana agreed.

Putting the bag on his lap by the rest of his purchases, he replied, “And you, Missy, haven’t bought a thing yet. I know you’ve said you don’t care which shops we go to, but after lunch you are choosing where we go, got it?”

“Yeah, yeah,” Dana said before taking a drink of her water. “I guess I should by gifts for my family today, before they arrive tomorrow.”

“That’s pretty cool of your folks to come watch the last half tournament,” Harrison said.

“I am just glad I’ve made it to the second week of play, so they are not coming out here for nothing.”

“Like there was any doubt of that,” Harrison replied as the waitress set their respective lunches down on the table.

“Merci,” Dana said with a nod and a smile, receiving a smile in return.

“Um.. yeah… mercy..” Harrison added trying to get the accent right. Once the waitress left, he said, “You need to teach me French, Dane.”

    1. Woo Hooooo…. Lol at the homemade signs and Harrisons uber gayness. *sigh* Just wish my lil Fairbanks would come out of that shell…all in good time though. Thanks so much for this update A, excellent job. I have a few things up my sleeve for Danish Day just FYI…i may request your assistance for a certain one-off…Thanks for the update buddy. Great job

    2. anionayo, great exchange between D & Harrison. I love the detail of purchasing the necklace. Very sweet. I wonder when she would be brave enough to give it to A. Also love the appearance of Mr. P., very cute. The ending thought was perfect. Thank you very much!!!

    3. Great chapter! Harrison is such fun and a good friend. Conrad has really done a number on poor Dane. I hope Harrison sees through the lie. Dana needs someone to keep pushing her. Love the timing with Alice showing up so soon after Dana got home and wanting to take her for ice cream. I think the necklace found Dana — not the other way around. Take it as a sign, Dana!! I hope it doesn’t stay under wraps for long. Thanks so much, anionayo! Can’t wait to see what comes next.

    4. Oh Dana, I feel sorry for her but some people can be so clueless, she has to learn soon that life isn’t worth it if you don’t take risks every now and again! Great chap again, loving it more and more. x
