We sing along to the song as I drive to Julia’s house. I pull up into her driveway and honk the horn twice. A few minutes later, all three of them come to the door and stop dead in their tracks when they see my car.

Aiden: “Sick ride! You didn’t steal it…did you?” He asks, unsure then Julia elbows him while Lori just rolls her eyes.

Ashley: “No you idiot! The best girl in the world had it fixed up for me.” I say to them, then lean in and kiss Spencer.

Julia: “Aw, thanks Ash, but I don’t remember paying for this.” She jokes.

Ashley: “You’re hilarious!” I say sarcastically. “Now hop in the car, we’re going to the mall.” They all bolt from the doorway and to my car.

Ashley: “Hold it!” They all stop again before reaching the car. “There are rules. 1. No eating in my car! The interior’s new.” I smile. “2. Use the door like an actual human being.” I say sternly, glaring at Aiden and he frowns. “3. Try not to get fingerprints everywhere. Got it?”

They all nod, then get in the backseat carefully. Lori behind me, Aiden in the middle, and Julia next to him.

Spencer: “Buckle up.” She tells them, they do as she says, and I drive off to the mall.

Lori: “Wow, it even has that new car smell.”

Julia: “Ugh! I love that smell.”

Everyone laughs. I look in my rearview and see Lori looking uncomfortable with a forced smile as everyone laughs. I make a mental note to talk to her later. But now, the mall. We finally arrive, I park and we exit the car.

Spencer: “Ash, don’t for get the alarm thingy.”

Ashley: “Oh, right.” I click the button and the car chirps.

Aiden: “Ms. High rollin’!” He says patting my shoulder as we go inside the mall.

Ashley: “So where to first?”

Spencer, Lori, & Julia: “Hollister!” They all shriek excitedly.

Aiden: “Ow you guys!” He says messing with his ears. “Too many girls.” Julia chuckles and wraps her arms around him.

Julia: “Aww, I’m sorry baby.” She says, standing on her tippy toes and kissing him. I see Lori roll her eyes and go over to look at a random cart in the mall.
