ASHLEY’S P.O.V.

As soon as I finished looking at my new fixed up car I ran in the house and thanked my mom over and over. I called Lori and Julia and told them to be ready. Aiden just happened to be at Julia’s house when I called. Spencer had to push me into inviting him. Lori is supposed to be going to Julia’s house so I can just make one stop. After I called them Spencer and I got cleaned up. As I was getting some clothes on I rushed Spencer. I couldn’t wait to try out my car. I took Spencer’s hand and rushed down the steps, out of the house, and into my car. I let the top down and peel out. I tap my fingers on the wheel and sing the song to myself at first.

Ashley: “I never thought that you could break me apart, I keep a sinister smile in a hole in my heart. You want to get inside? Then you need to get in line, but not this time. Cause you caught me off guard. Now I’m running and screaming. I feel like a hero and you are my heroine.” I turn the music up then the lyrics sync in…this is how I feel about Spencer.

Ashley: “I won’t try to philosophize. I’ll just take a deep breath and I’ll look in your eyes. This is how I feel, And its so, so real. I got a closet filled up to the brim, with the ghosts of my past and the skeletons. And I don’t know why, You’d even try, But I won’t lie…”

I take my hand off the gearshift and take her hand in mine.

Ashley: “You caught me off guard. Now I’m running and screaming. I feel like a hero and you are my heroine. Do you know that your love is the sweetest sin?” She smiles at me, then sings along.

Ashley & Spencer: “And I feel a weakness coming on. Never felt so good to be so wrong. Had my heart all locked down, and then you turned me around. And I’m feeling like a new born child, every time I get a chance to see you smile. It’s not complicated, I was so jaded.”
