    I lock eyes with her the whole time, trying my best to pour my heart in soul into the words of my song.

    Ashley: Any sign of Spencer?

    Kristen: No, not yet.

    Kristen turned away from the door on looking the audience, gave me a sympathetic smile, and then handed me my guitar.

    Ashley: Thanks.

    I began doing a little nervous dance, shifting my weight from one foot to the other.

    Kristen: Would you just relax. You’re gonna be great Ash.

    Ashley: I really wish Spencer was here…

    I sighed and Kristen gave me an offended look.

    Kristen: What I’m not good enough for you?

    Ashley: No that’s not what I mea-

    Kristen: I was just kidding jeez, now go get yo girl!

    With a pat to the back, Kristen left me back stage. The roaring applause from the audience told me the first group was done and I would be up next.

    Ashley: Damn!

    I yelled in frustration at the sight of my butchered nails, for I had bitten them down in my nervous fit. Man did I need something to chew on.

    Announcer: Next up on the mic, Ashley Davies, here from UB.

    Taking a deep breath, I strolled out onto the stage, guitar in hand. I got settled on a stool next to a microphone. I hesitated a moment before I spoke into the microphone as I scanned the crowd for my beautiful girlfriend, but she was nowhere in sight. Feeling a little discouraged, I felt my nerves return.

    Ashley: Spencer, love? If you’re out there, well I wrote this one for you.

    Closing my eyes, I started to strum the beginning chords on my guitar as I pictured Spencer’s bright smile, causing my confidence return. I let the stunning image of my girlfriend guide me through the words of my song, making them that much more meaningful.

    Ashley:

    My eyes are no good, blind without her
    The way she moves I never doubt her
    When she talks she somehow creeps into my dreams
    She’s a doll, a catch, a winner
    I’m in love and no beginner
    Could ever grasp or understand just what she means

    After I finished the first verse, I thought back to the first time I ever met Spencer, and how the first thing I had ever noticed were her bright blue eyes.

    3. Omfg. That was SOO effen good. Like AMAZINGLY good. Wow. You have me in tears when she sang Spencer the song. And Spencer’s proposal, pure genius. That was awesome. I can’t wait for another post. This story is fabulous. :D PMS!

    5. WOW!WOW!WOW!..I don’t know what to say now. I can’t stop smiling :Dok, I love this chapter so much, it’s beautiful and you’re so great. I love that Spencer wasn’t out yet but she’s on the stage and proposed Ashley in front of the crowd. So romantic. Can’t wait for the next chapter and wanna know what the story is going. Can I tell you that I prefer a happy ending? Is that too soon to ask for a happy ending? hehe:P PMS!!

    6. ok whoa… where the hell did that come from?!?! caught me totally off guard! dunno… getting engaged at 19, after not really knowing each other for all that long.. this could lead to drama. which I love. so is ethan going to try to sweep ash away with some recording contract? guess we’ll find out, pms!
