Chemicals React – (Chapter: 11. Wet Dreams)

A smirk showed started to show through her lips.

“Well what are they about?” she asked
    “I can’t explain it” Can’t or wont?
“Well it’s okay, they are just dreams” she replied
    with a reassuring look
“Yeah, you’re right” Spencer replied they continued
to walk “So what are you doing now?” she asked putting
her dreams to the back of her mind.
“I have to run to best buy and staples, want to come? We
can grab dinner on the way back” she bribed, she knew
    Spencer couldn’t refuse food
“Mmm only if I get to pick the place” she said
    “Deal”

They were stopped at a red light Spencer glanced up at the
billboard that sat above the highway. “It’s in to be
out” it read in simple black bold letters, there was a
website URL in the corner. This caused her to start dragging
up the dreams she’d been having the past few nights.

She stared out the window and took a sip of her iced coffee
from Starbucks. Ashley glanced over at her while she was
telling her story and saw that Spencer was preoccupied with
something, most likely still upset about her dreams, she
opened her mouth to say something but the blonde beat her to
    the chase.

“What is your take on dreams?”
“What do you mean my take?” Ashley asked
“I don’t know, how do you feel about them?” she asked
She could tell that Spence was struggling with this one, so
she tried to choose words to guide her.
“Well, I believe in them” she started as Spencer smiled
“I’m serious, I think that dreams are messages from our
subconscious minds, stuff that we want to happen or that
will happen and our souls are trying to tell us” she
    replied seriously

    The blonde sighed.

“You don’t have to tell me what the dream was but how
about I ask you some questions to help you figure it out?”
    Ashley offered
“Okay!” Spencer said picking up her left and sitting on
top of it facing towards the brunette.
Ashley laughed at her enthusiasm, “Okay, is there a
reoccurring theme? Like is it pretty much the same thing
you’re dreaming about every night?” she asked
“Yeah, just different scenarios but the same thing
    happens” she replied
“Okay, is it a scary dream?” she asked
“No, well the very end scares me, which causes me to wake
up in the middle of the night” she said
“Hmm, so at the end of the dream you wake up, are you
    sweating?” she asked
“Yeah, how’d you know?” she asked
    “Lucky guess” she shrugged
“Well actually it’s more of a disappointment when I
wake up, because it’s not real” she started to feel more
    comfortable
“So you want what happens in your dream to come true?”
    she questioned
    “Yeah” she confessed
“I say make it happen, you don’t want to regret not
    doing anything” she said
“Yeah, you’re right, but how do I make it happen?”

It felt like they were both knew what the other one was
talking about, but wouldn’t dare to admit it.

“Just follow your heart” she replied and shot her a
    smile

Chills went up Spencer’s spine, suddenly she wished
she’d gotten a hot coffee instead of an iced. She was
almost positive that Ashley knew what she’d been dreaming
about and it didn’t bother her.
