Workshop with Bulletproof Consulting

Bulletproof Consulting was created by Amy Sue Michalik, who is a ten year veteran of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). She’s worked in Atlanta, Miami, San Bernardino, and now in Glendale, CA. Amy moved to her most recent post of duty in California about three years ago to chase her dream of becoming a screenwriter. She’s currently attending UCLA pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting.

Amy teamed up with Mitzi Kapture, best known for her portrayal of Sgt. Rita Lee Lance on a TV show “Silk Stalkings” (1991-1995) to offer workshops and classes for actresses and writers, as well as script consulting and on-set technical assistance to bring more realism to TV shows and movies.

On Friday, Amy and Mitzi conducted a one hour workshop on how to walk and talk like a cop. They discussed how being a female special agent or cop differs from the norm and how important it is to know the rules while on the set of a cop TV show, when bad things could happen because the weapons they use are real. During the workshop Amy told some amusing and serious experiences she had as a former Atlanta cop and as an ATF agent, while Mitzi shared a few stories from the set of “Silk Stalkings”.
