Alice became aware of Danas breathing and realised that she was crying. She pulled back and looked Dana in the eye.

Al, I have been in love with you since the first time we met, and after what you just said it made me realise that you havent. Maybe you only want me now because you were worried about losing me to Tonya. Im still way less experienced than you are Al, and really the only reason I got together with Tonya was because I am so inexperienced and I confused her wanting me as me being in love with her. I mean, how lame is that? She took a deep breath and continued I guess what Im trying to say is, you didnt want me when I was inexperienced, but I still am, and in fact if it wasnt for the fact that Im inexperienced, I would never have got together with Tonya, and then you would never have been jealous and wanted me.Oh God, Im ranting now arent I? Alice had listened to Danas words and kind of understood what the problem was. She knew that she had to make Dana feel better about this, as she really shouldnt be sad after the amazing thing that had just happened between them.

Dana, before this you were a different person, but so was I. I never thought you would have been in love with me since we first met, because I didnt even particularly like myself much when we first met. But to know that you have been is incredible, and I am so happy and privileged that you feel that way about me. People come together in different ways and like I saidI dont know exactly why Im ready for this now, but I am. I am willing to fight for you or to wait for you until you have sorted things out with Tonya, if thats worrying you too.

Dana glanced up at Alice, her eyes clearer now. I already finished it with Tonya. I want to be with you. I just wish that I had been cooler when we first met, so we could have spent these last 2 years doing this (she pulled Alices hips against hers again), rather than bickering at each other!

The second you kissed me last night Dana replied. Alices heart leapt and the heat began to rise again making her breath speed up. The two stared at each other in silence, foreheads touching until Alice was able to speak again.
