Chapter 18
The first that Tina knew that the last few weeks of Lez Girls was not going to run smoothly was the phone call at 7:00am. She reached out her hand from under the duvet and answered the phone
“Hello – Tina Kennard – hey there Dan -where is the fire ? What – maybe she’s overslept. She hasn’t ? what does he say ? How long ? “ Tina pulled herself up and shook the sleep from her body. Beside her Bette opened her eyes
“What’s wrong ?”
Tina shrugged “So tell me what is happening on the set ?”
Tina listened for a few minutes “ And he wants me to do what ? – right – well that doesn’t sound terribly easy. I will go over there but after that – he knows that I am not in until after lunchtime – I am taking Angie to the dentist and for a haircut . He wants me to come in – well – that depends on finding her. Yeah – look I am awake now – I’ll go over there. I’ll ring you back in 10 minutes”
Tina put the phone down and flopped backwards
“What’s wrong ?”
“Shooting was due to start at 5:30 this morning – we have lost a couple of days shooting what with the power cuts because of the heat. Jenny isn’t on set – so there is a full cast and crew and no director. We don’t have an assistant director because Jenny has been such a nightmare to work under and she wouldn’t let us hire anyone after she had fired the – I think it was 7th assistant director I hired. We have lost fuck knows how much money already and my boss has decided that its my job to find Jenny and get her to the set “
“You are on a half day “
“Not anymore I ain’t – not unless I find Jenny. No one has seen her “
“Shane wasn’t at home last night – Max told me – he was there alone with Tom when I went looking for Angie’s sandals. “

Okay, a missing Jenny twist. The plot thickens. I’m with Tina here. I think Adele’s abducted her and is now slumped, tied and gagged, in a dark, dank warehouse. Correct me if I’m wrong but this is the first long story where you’ve included Jenny as one of the supporting characters, right? I guess her character has been really redeemed in S5. Anyway, I’m sorry to hear about the 5 lost L Wing chapters. I’d be out of my wits too if I lost 18,000 words of work. Hope you’ll be able to reconstruct the chapters from the remaining bits and pieces. May the Force be always with you, ally! And thanks a lot for this update. :>
Hey Ally, I am so sad hearing about the lost chapter of L Wing. just as well you are such a wonderful writer because whatever you now create will still be so worth the wait and the while. I loved the sense of panic throughout this last chapter. The panic of Tina’s boss at Jenny’s absence. Loved his solution of getting Teet o step up and take control. Then the covnersation at the Planet when all opinions were thrown in the ring and possible wild and scary reasons for Jenny’s disappearance were being discussed. Whatever the truth the ride will be splendid in your capable hand. Awaiting the next post with excitment and joy. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
Oh Ally, I am so sorry to hear about the L Wing chapters–all that work down the tubes. I understand your frustration, but I am hoping you will continue it–it is one of my favorites. Great update on this story. I didn’t even consider Adele might be responsible for Jenny’s disappearance–I’m glad Tina is on top of her game :). Thanks for the update.

It’s sad what happened to your file on TLW. Hope it doesn’t get too long for you to write some down. Get to enjoy more of SSR and YMH for the meantime.
Hmmmm….an interesting twist to the story…a missing Jenny. Yeah, Adele would be a likely suspect. Awaiting your next post.

WOW – you have lost 5 chapter of L-wing. I’m destroyed. I hope of the deep of my heart you can re-write. That’s why I make three back-ups on different storage media.
That’s a total BUMMER about the L Wing chapters, I hope you find the inspiration to rewrite them. I am very happy we have this story though. I immediately thought of Adele when Jenny was discovered missing. I sense a potential drama but possible adventure in the works. :)
