Breakfast at the rented cottage was a leisurely affair, mainly because Dana took the car to the market at the resort and bought ingredients for every breakfast food she could think of. While Alice slept, she set about making it in the kitchen included with the cottage. An hour and a half later, she looked toward the door and saw Alice leaning against it in a hastily thrown-on bathrobe, watching her with love shining in her bleary eyes.
“Only you would cook on vacation, Dana,” she said adoringly when their eyes met. “That’s why they offer the free breakfast, baby.”
“Yeah, but that’d mean I would have had to wake you up. Besides, I don’t wanna sit in a big dining room with a bunch of other people. I’m on vacation with you, Al. I don’t want to spend it with anybody else,” Dana replied.
“That’s sweet…but I don’t buy it for a second. You’re just cooking because it makes you feel all special. You’re good at it and you like showing off…but it’s fine. Frankly I’d prefer your show-off cooking to the resort food anyway,” Alice said softly as Dana walked over and kissed her good morning.
“That’s good, because it took me awhile and I’m pretty proud of it,” Dana said with a smile, resting her forehead on Alice’s. “Now go lay back down so I can finish this, okay? I’ll bring it in before too long.”
Alice smiled and kissed her before walking back into the bedroom and climbing into the oversized bed again. She didn’t mean to fall asleep, but the mattress was a little too comfortable for its own good. When Dana walked in twice fifteen minutes later, once with orange juice, muffins and coffee, then with a tray and two sets of silverware, Alice was snoring. Giggling, Dana set the tray down on the nightstand and crawled in next to her, kissing her awake. “You can’t sleep through my awesome breakfast, Al,” she said with an exaggerated pout. Alice scoffed and kissed her back.
“Like I would anyway. I happen to like food.”
“Good, because I made a lot of it. Here,” Dana said, picking up the fully loaded tray and motioning Alice back so she could put it between them. “I made you blueberry pancakes. That’s tomato frittata, and this is creme brulee French toast,” she continued, pointing to everything as she identified it. “This is sausage strata, and I made myself a veggie scramble, which you can have if you want it. I just figured you wouldn’t. And then there’s I love you toast.”

MT: So sorry to hear you are having a rough time. If it helps any, your update put a huge smile on my face. Once again elegantly written — the communication between our girls has gotten so much better. I love how you keep finding new areas for them to explore together. So funny that Harrison got them a table — however indirectly. “No, it’s like the sensible person calling the perv a perv” — Hee! And the NC-17. Yum. With the lack of Danish lately your post is even more welcome. Congratulations on your 50th. I hope you have another 50 in you. Thanks so much for the update!!
MT, I too am sorry to hear that you are having a hard time. Whatever it is, it too shall pass. It is so amazing to read your writing and never figured out how badly you felt. This chapter was again very written and funny. May I joke a little bit too? Can I have some of those “I love you toast” too? Yeah, pink hair, I missed Murmurs’ songs. “Tell Harrison to drive up here?” That was funny. “Wait, you’re calling me a perv? Isn’t that a little like the pot calling the kettle black?” “You’re on Crack” Great lines. I am lol. On a more serious note, “You’ve done so much for me, and I have no idea how to make this any easier on you. I don’t know what I can do to help you, and that makes me sad.” I really felt for these two. The conversation at the gas station parking lot was deep and very touching. It was another great opportunity for them to reach a better understanding. Yeah, thank you for stopping at SF. See I told you, now even A liked SF. Thank you for taking them up north. The dancing scene reminded me of the snapshot of a deleted scene before D was operated on when she danced with an unknown girl. It was hot. And the bathroom again? Give me a break. I couldn’t stop laughing. Once again thank you for writing such a beautiful story. I just cannot get enough of it. And I am sure the other readers feel the same. Thanks MT.

MT, I’m glad to see Danish (and you still going strong in Chapter 50. Thanks very much for keeping the smiles coming. I especially liked this chapter since Danish visited some of my old haunts and drove right by my hometown. I’m enjoying the way their relationship seems to be maturing and the mutual support their giving each other. Still a great story. Thanks for all of your efforts to entertain the Danish faithful. Hope things are looking up soon. :)
great update. i love their mini vacation. i wish that i went with them – it sounded like so much fun. i love how alice secretly got the guys number for harrison.
