Alice had to catch herself from falling off her chair. For the first time in probably her whole life she was speachless. Kathy smiled with tears in her eyes and hugged both Tina and Bette. Alice looked at George sharply.

Alice: “You knew about this!?” she shreaked then quickly looked back over at Tina. “How far along are you?”

Tina: “Six months”

Alice: “I am so happy for you guys” she said jumping out of her chair to hug them. “Let me look at you” she said pulling Tina to her feet. “I thought you were just putting on some weight, but I didn’t want to say anything” she smiled.

Tina rolled her eyes and sat back down. She finally felt relief for the first time in a long time.

Kathy: “We have to go shopping. My first grandchild…I can’t believe it. Your going to be an aunt” she said looking at George

George: “Yeah, I know. It’s a good thing for you guys, someone’s gonna have to teach this kid how to be cool” she said smiling at Bette and Tina.

After that conversation flowed easily. Around eleven they all decided to call it a night and head their seperate ways. Alice and George headed outside together.

Alice: “I can’t believe you didn’t tell me about the baby. How long have you known?”

George: “Too long.”

Alice noticed a girl staring at them from across the street. George turned around to see what Alice was looking at her and jaw dropped. The girl startind waving franticly and called out to George.

Alice: “You know her?!” she said confused

George: “I do”

Alice: “Who is that?”

George: “Someone I have not seen in a long time”

Bette and Tina walked in the front door and threw their stuff down. Tina let out a deep breath “I am so happy I got that over with” she said as she ploped down on the couch. Bette walked over and knelt down helping Tina take off her shoes. “Yeah, even I was surprised” she said leaning back to put Tina’s shoes next to the coffee table. “Im sorry babe, I suddenly had the urge to do it.” she said brushing the hair out of Bette’s face. Bette was still kneling between Tina’s legs. “I have urges too” she said sliding her hands up the side of Tina’s thighs. Tina shut her eyes and smiled. A feeling of desire started to run through her entire body and Bette noticed it. Bette pressed her body up against Tina’s as she started to kiss her passionatly. She ran her hands up her lovers back and held her as close as possible. Tina pulled away to take a breath and to look at Bette. She looked deep into her eyes and saw the same passion and desire that was there when their relationship started. In that moment Tina knew they could be that way again, their love was so strong and pure. She began to unbutton Bette’s shirt and then slowly kissed her way down her neck. Bette started breathing harder and slid her hunds up the back of Tina’s shirt. Just then there was a knock at the door. They both stopped dead in their tracks and stared at eachother with annoyed eyes. Bette dropped onto the floor and began to button her shirt back up. Tina straitened herself up and headed for the door. When she opened it she found her mom standing in the porch.

Kathy: “Im so sorry honey…”

Tina: “What’s up? I thought you were going back to the hotel”

Kathy: “Well you see, the power is out. They offered to put me up in another hotel but it’s all the way across town and…”

Tina: “And you want to stay here tonight?” she said looking back at Bette who was sitting on the floor feeling defeted.

Kathy: “It would only be tonight. I would ask George but her place is so small”

Bette: “Of course you can stay here tonight.” she said getting up and making her way over to the door.

George quickly trotted across the street with Alice following.

George: “Katy! What the ***** are you doing in L.A.?!” she shouted as she gave her friend a hug.

Katy: “This is so awesome! Dude! We’ve got a gig here this weekend.” she said poining at herself and her companion.

George: “That’s kick *****! Where are you playing?”

Katy: “Jake’s uncle has a club down the street.”

George: “Oh Yeah” she said looking at the thin kid with the mohawk.

Jake: “Yeah, it’s called Jacks”

George: “That’s cool”

Katy: “You should totally come play with us. You were the best guitar player in the band, and im not just trying to boost your ego.”
Alice: Hi, im Alice” she said finally introducing herself. “You were in a band?” she said looking at George

George: “Yes I was” looking at Alice “And no, I don’t think so” she said looking back at Katy.

Katy: “Come on man. For old times sake. You could win some money”

George: “Money, I like money…I need money. How?”

Katy: “There is a battle of the bands on Saturday. He is giving us everynight for the rest of the week to get used to the place. You could play your bongo, no other bands there will have bongos.”

George looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

Katy: “Or you could just play your guitar. I know you’ve probably written some good songs since you’ve been here”

George: “I’ll think about it.”

Katy: “It’s so weird that I ran into you. You’ll never guess who I saw like ten minutes ago.”

George: “Santa Claus?”

Katy: “Negative, I saw Holly. I guess it really is a small ***** world.”

George: “I guess it is.” she took a deep breath and rubbed her temple. “Hey, you guys wanna go get some drinks?”

Katy: “Word up!”

They decided to go to the club Jake’s uncle owned. Alice and George usually didn’t hang out at the strait bars, but the drinks were free and they could’t argue with that. On the way there Alice had a million questions as usual. George told Alice the whole story. Katy was an old friend from Pittsburgh. George moved to Seattle after her and Holly broke up and Katy went with her. Katy was kind of a free spirit and went with the flow. They went to school together there and formed a band called ’10-4 and the good buddies’ They were pretty popular too due to George’s Cure influenced songs about Holly. Then George left the band their last year in school and then ended up in L.A. while Katy stayed in Seattle. They were throwing back the drinks quickly just like old times. George got up tp go to the bathroom when she spotted another fammilar face walking in the door…
