    Bette finds her way to Sidney.
    (B&T Beginning set on college campus.)

    Previously ~~~

    Bette heard someone enter the restroom and swallowed her sobs as tears snaked their way down her cheeks. The comfort and love she had experienced last night was gone. Her safe place was gone. Bette was fine as long as she hadnt experienced unconditional love. But now that she had, it was hard to move forward. Her very unstable and very shaky foundation had been leveled.

    In the back of her mind, she also feared that Tina would come to her senses and realize that Eric really was the one she wanted to be with. She hated to admit it, but she knew it was a real possibility. And though she knew that truly losing Tina would crush her, she had to let her go. When her mom walked out, Bette swore that she would never be unfaithful to anyone. She swore she would never cause someone as much pain as her mom had caused both her and her father. She had to give her and Tina this time apart. If she didnt, she knew she would hate herself in the long run.

    When she was certain that she would no longer vomit, Bette walked to the bank of sinks and washed her hands and face and rinsed out her mouth. She made her way back to Italian and when it was over, she hurried home to call Sidney and pack a duffle bag before Tina returned.

    Bette had just been buzzed into Dreiber Hall, her mind still clouded with thoughts of Tina and the way theyd left things that morning. Bette walked into the lobby of the dorm and sat down on a nearby couch to wait for Sidney to come and get her. She stared at the black Nike duffel bag at her feet and attempted to calm the emotions storming within. Bette looked up to see Sidney walking towards her, a smile on her tanned face and a sparkle in her piercing blue eyes. Bette couldnt help but return Sidneys smile as she stood up meet her new girlfriend.

    She really is beautiful. What the ***** am I doing to her?, Bette thought.

    Sidney reached Bette and pulled her caramel colored love into her arms, sliding her arms around Bettes thin waist. Bette returned the embrace and felt herself relax into Sidneys touch.

    1. Poor Bette, she’s always in turmoil! Lovin your story – great to have a really different line here with the college theme. Great work and really well written.

    2. Okay lots of drama and super well written. I would say that Bette has made her choice when she wanted to sleep with Sidney, but maybe its her way of running away from the situation with Tina. The suspense is killing me. Question: Is Bette being like her mother right now since she has two women, or has she given up on Tina and her at least in her head?

    8. Well, we shall see whether Bette is truly ready for that level of physical intimacy with Sidney when it comes down to finally doing the deed (with her). Will she freeze up again? Will she go through with it, but feel the experience pales in comparison to being with Tina? Or, will she sink further into confusion by equally (albeit selfishly) enjoying both women physically and perhaps, emotionally? Only time will tell… Next, please.
