    the Mutant {the L word/X-Men crossover Story}

    Los Angeles, CA

Cloudy skies went through the streets of LA as the rain came pouring down. People running to cover before getting soaked and hid under umbrellas from the hard-hitting rain. Dana walked the streets with her hair stuck to her face. She had her hands in her pockets and her head hung low. She looked around the city as the people walked or jogged past her. She raked her fingers through her hair and walked towards the Planet. She shook off her jacket and walked inside. She felt like everybody had their eyes on her, and she became paranoid. She began to hear voices going on in her head. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she walked towards the bar. She took a seat and sighed. Kit walked over to her friend and smiled.

“Hey girl, what you doing here?”

Dana looked up and smiled. “Practice got canceled, so I decided to go for a walk.”

“In this weather,” Kit laughed softly. “You could get sick girl.”

“I’ll be okay.” Dana tapped her fingers on the counter. “Can I get a coffee?”

“Sure,” Kit walked away, and Dana looked around. She felt her head cluttering up again by the sounds of people voices inside the Planet and outside on the streets.

“I can’t be late for work.”

“She drives me insane when she does that.”

    “She’s dead.”

    “I have to do this.”

    “Why can’t life be easier?”

    “I love you.”

    “I’m sorry that I lied.”

Dana buried her head into her hands as the voices became louder. “Stop it.” She gritted her teeth and closed her eyes. “Stop it.”

“Dana?” Dana shot up and saw Shane and Carmen. She smiled nervously and exhaled.

“Hey guys,” she pushed her hair behind her ear.

“Are you okay?” Shane looked worriedly.

“Yeah,” Dana nodded. “I’m good.” She grinned.

“Here you go Dana.” Kit sat the cup in front of Dana. “Hey girls.”

    “Hey Kit.”

“Thanks, but I better get going.” Dana grabbed a wade of one dollar bills in her pocket on the counter. “I’ll see you guys later.” She got up from her chair and walked out.

    1. You rock Akria :). I think it’s an awesome start and I will definitely brainstorm with you some more. But I think you definitely put life into the characters in the story you write :). I espically loved the convo with Jean Grey and Dana. Rock on Akira. Rock on. :)

    2. Oh I’m a huge fan of X-men :) Wrote a short story myself way back with similar influenced…This is a nice start but I was hoping for more of the L-characters to have special ability not just Dana…

    3. I haven’t even read yet, but you’ve combined my favorite show with with my favorite super-hero team. I’m psyched. Thanks. Oh and please post again real soon, in advance.
