    The morning after

    **The day after**
The sun beamed through the glass doors and onto the two sleeping bodies on the bed. It was a beautiful day outside compared to the night before.
The naked bodies lay there, the only movement they made was the slow rising and falling of their chests, and the deep breaths they took, just to stay alive. There hands still wrapped in each other and Bette’s head lay on Tinas chest.
As usual Bette stole most of the sheet through out the night, so Tina huddled closer to Bette’s warm, silky smooth body.
A light whistle seeped from Bette’s mouth as they both slept.
A cool breeze whistled through the gap under the door, which woke Bette. She slowly sat up, trying to remember where she was and the night of pure lust and love.
She lay back down onto her side and stared at Tina and her beautiful body. Bette lightly gilded her fingertips over Tinas body, trying not to wake her, but to get the satisfaction of touching her.
She kissed Tina’s lips and slowly got out of the bed. She turned and once again stared at her wife, her lover of seven years, that she almost lost in a matter of minutes.
“Never again” Bette whispered under her breath.
She then proceeded to the bathroom to have a quick shower and then go down stairs to start breakfast.
After her shower she shuffled down stairs to the kitchen…. She had forgotten to get something for breakfast. She decided that she would walk to the shops, since they were only 5 minutes away. Yet before leaving she wrote Tina a note

    T,
Baby, don’t make anything for breakfast.
I’ve gone to the shops to pick something
up. I love you and I never want us to be
    apart.
    always yours,
    Bette

She folded the paper in half and left it on the kitchen bench next to a dozen roses that she had picked up the night before to give to Tina.
She grabbed the house keys and went out the door, closing it quietly.

Bette inhaled the crisp morning air, as she briskly walked down the road towards the shops. She closed her eyes and listened to the sounds that surrounded her. The waves crashing on the shore, the pelicans gliding down and finally landing on top of the water. The sea gulls fighting over the morning meal.
She felt so relaxed, so content with her life and her love for Tina.
She remembered the first time that she met Tina at the gallery. Her hair tightly curled and her make up light and beautiful. As soon as they shook hands Bette knew that she was the one that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. A smile grew across Bette’s face’s as she remembered that faithful night, that she had found her one true love. Suddenly she remembered what she was doing and quickly opened her eyes to see she had stopped right in front of the shop.
She went in and bought the freshest Croissants, and some jam and cream…Oh and a carton of Milk. She paid and walked back towards the house. The biggest smile on her face.
Again she closed her eyes remembering the first time that she had met Tina.
Yet her surroundings around her were telling her something different…Something was wrong. Yet she couldn’t quite pick what is was. Bette opened her eyes suddenly, to notice that she had veered onto the road.
The next thing she felt was the pain that cramped her stomach and a person screaming, “call 911!”
She moved her head and looked at the bitchemen to see a red liquid substance on the road…. It crawled right down into the rainwater drain. She looked back the other way to see a man checking her pulse and smiling lightly, yet screaming at Bette “Hey! Can you hear me…Please hear me.”
    Suddenly everything went black…nothing silence…no pain…no love…nothing…just pure silence.
