THE L WING
CHAPTER 325
NARRATION OF PRESIDENT BETTE KENNARD PORTER
　
I am just signing some documents that James is putting in front of me when the phone rings. James picks it up
“Yes – sure – I will just check”
He presses the mute button and looks at me
“Your two new senior staffers are here “
“Are they with CJ ?”
“She’s been with them for an hour – she thinks they are ready for the Oval office treatment”
“Okay – how many more signatures do you want James ?”
“Be finished in five minutes”
“Tell them I will see them then “
James nods and un-mutes the phone
“Hey – the President will see them in ten minutes okay – right – no trouble”
He puts the phone down and hands me another document to sign.
“Have you had any thoughts about what you want to do in 13 months time James ?”
“Not really”
“No memories to write ?”
“I am not sure many people would believe what some of the things I have seen “
“Same here – seriously – no thoughts ?”
“I think Alice and Lucy’s idea is a good one – I might like to travel around Europe for a few months – ideally where there are no phones “
“I think Europe has phones James”
“Yeah – but they have phones I don’t have to answer “
“Fair enough – if you ever need any strings pulling for a job – you know that right ?”
“I do – thanks – okay – last signature I promise”
“When you have filed all of these in the shredder can you ring Tina – we are all having lunch together and Tina is joining us – to get to know Bernie and Kate “
“I hear on the grapevine that she already knows Kate “
“Yes “
“Is that all you are going to say ?”
I sign my name and put the pen down “it’s a small lesbian world James – as you should really know by now – remind me to get Alice to explain her theory of interconnectiveness “
“I have heard it “ he replies dryly
“And what did you think of it ?” he’s clearly not impressed

I cant believe this story is still going strong i might add I love it.. pls post soon cant wait to see how Kate fits in with the senoir staff and if she has anything up her sleeve with Tina.

Hey AllyE, Another fabulous update as the Repubklican choice of nominees really heats up in the States. I can’t wait to read more as Bernie and Kate will make interesting additions to the WHite House staff. Plus a resolution to the Shane situation. SUch delight await me. Awesome!
