Alice was feeling much better in the morning.  She and Dana woke up at 6.  Since they went to sleep the night before at 8, they were actually very well rested.  They got ready for the day and they both went through their overnight correspondence before heading down to the dining room.

They were not the only people having breakfast.  They were several guards and other employees in the dining room.  Dana and Alice quickly spotted Harrison, Shane and Sam and headed over to the table.  

“Morning, guys!”  Everyone smiled and returned Alice’s morning greeting.  It was obvious to them all that Alice was back to herself and raring to take on the day ahead.  

They ran through the schedule.  This would be a standard meeting every morning to make sure everyone was in sync for the day.  Sam was present to address any possible security concerns.  

The first few days in New York were spent with Alice touring several of her companies.  Most of the time, she was simply introduced as a representative for one of the major stockholders.  This was done as much for security as it was to give Alice a chance to see how things were running without people knowing she was the big boss.

She also spent a great deal of time in her office at the building that contained the Stranton Enterprises American Division.  It was where several of her sector VPs were located and she met with each of them to get status reports and discuss issues.  They, of course, knew that Alice was the head of the massive company.  They also had been with her and Poppy for many years and were very devoted to the company.

Dana and Alice got a little break about a week into the trip.  Alice’s friends, Bette and Tina, had invited them to come for dinner.  

Dana was nervous.  Although she was with Alice all the time on the trip, she was doing so in the position of being her assistant.  This would be the first time they were doing something as girlfriends and they would be meeting some of Alice’s dearest friends.

She had talked to Shane about it briefly.  Shane had also been invited, but, she begged off to hit some clubs.  She travelled to New York much more often than Alice and met with Bette and Tina frequently.  She wanted Alice to have more alone time with the couple.
