Alice was working increasingly long hours as the New York trip approached as was Dana.
In addition, Dana was trying to squeeze in time to get her course week completed. She had pushed quite a bit when she was injured and was close to completing her degree. However, she needed to get one final course done.
But Dana did not want to give up any of the precious free time she spent with Alice. So she borrowed a page from Alice’s book and would get out of bed during the night and spend a couple hours getting her coursework done.
Alice didn’t notice the late night departures, but, she could see that Dana was worn out. She brought it up one evening when they were idly watching television. Dana had her head lying back on the sofa and seemed to be falling asleep.
“Dana? Are you feeling OK?” Alice began.
Dana raised her head with a confused look on her face. “Yes, Al, I feel fine.”
“I’m just asking because you seem kinda tired lately.”
Dana shifted uncomfortably. She didn’t want to admit she was having problems juggling everything in her life right now. “We have been working a lot lately. I have a lot on my mind.”
Alice shut off the TV. She was getting to the bottom of this. “There is something more to it. Talk to me, Dane.”
Dana gave a deep sigh. She couldn’t keep anything from Alice. She looked down as she confessed. “I’ve been getting up at night. I really want to get my last class done and it’s the only time I can find.”
“That’s it?” Alice said incredulously. “No problem. Just take the time off work and get it done.”
“No.” Dana said firmly. “When I started my degree, I told myself I could finish it and work. That’s what I plan to do.”
“But Dana… Things have changed. I mean… I am sure you never factored in having a more demanding job. Or someone special in your life.” Alice added with a little smile.
“You’re right. I didn’t.” Dana responded with her own smile. She then got serious. “But I can handle it. I am handling it.”
“You aren’t, honey. You are obviously exhausted.”
“I am fine, Alice.” Dana added with agitation.

YAY!!!! I loved the ending, it was so swwet (I totally need a woman like Alice) It was about time Al did this,she was working way to much! SOOOO when are you going to open a bottle of wine and write some PWP? I totally miss ur naughty stories hehehehehehe. I hope the trip to NY will turn out to be a hell of a trip for both of them. Thanks MG for this wonderful update and just for that u get another HDD from me hehehe. PPS
aww this was a cute chapter, they dealt well with the little arguement! Must be hard for Alice to give up some of her control in the company, Dana will just have to fill up all this newly spared time with… eeerrrrr… you’ll think of something ;) lol! Thanks for the post, can’t wait for the next one!
:D YAY!! I was reli excited wen i saw an update lol. Not so slow on the commentin this time either i dont think lol. I Adored this chapter is was so cute and i reli like how they dealt with the argument felt reli real :D. I love how cute they were with each other after the arguement as well. Im glad Alice as given more control to the senior vice presidents, it wasa big step for her and must have been hard but it just proves how much she loves Alice, which brings me to the ending lol AWWWW (Big Happy smile) :D i love the ending that line is perfect “I love my company but u are my life” awww u just made me fall in love with Alice HAHA. I love this story and Thank you a million times for giving us the pleasure of reading such a brilliant story thank u :D Cant wait for more. xxx
Ok, Goose. I have decided to open my own law practice and i need someone like Alice and Dana to be in charge of it..:D Im really suprised at how well you can transition them from work to home mode. Its like two seperate stories but its not? That probably makes no sense, but anyway…Bangin Good job my buddy. Im still curious about the whole NY trip and the unveiling thing…waiting as calmly as possible for your next post. Thank You.

In addition to the insightful comments above, I am glad to see A swallowed her pride and went to D’s room. No couple should go to bed still mad at each other. I am also pleased to see the globe trotting Shane participating in the decision making. I love how you present the story with such fine detail. Really great MaGoose! What is with this N. Y. trip? The longer I wait, the higher my anxiety level is. I have a bad feeling about this. So did you make sure they purchased all the irons they needed.
