Tina and Shane walked into Dr. Wilson’s waiting room and sat down in two chairs in the corner. They had dropped off Angelica at Kindergarten then went to Tina’s appointment.
"Look Shane, there’s no more hiding this," Tina said, "after this checkup we will be starting the surrogation process. By next month we will be trying to have a child Shane, and it would destroy me if I had all my hopes set on adopting Shay and Bette decides that three children is too much. She is trusting me to carry her child and you are making me lie to her. She needs to know about Shay now because 1, I will no longer lie to Bette, and 2, she is part of this decision to adopt Shay as well."
Shane only nodded and listened and when she finished she said, "you’re right."
Tina looked at Shane, surprised that it was so easy, "you’ll tell her?"
"Tonight," Shane said.
"Wow, that was easy," Tina said.
"No it’s just," Shane paused to wipe tears away, "my doctor said that I’m getting worse. My life expectancy has lowered."
"No Shane," Tina said breaking into tears, "you can’t…you’re just…too young!"
"Shh," Shane said pulling the sobbing Tina into a hug, "I already told the gang to meet at your place tonight. I’m going to tell everyone."

Bette walked into the office for her 11am appointment. James had set it up the day before after she left. He said it was this mysterious woman who had obviously lied about her name, but seemed very sweet.
Bette was anxious to figure out who this woman was, so she arrived at the gallery promptly at 11 and had James give Shay the tour of the gallery. The woman was sitting patiently in front of Bette’s desk, and when Bette walked into the room the woman stood up and turned around.
The moment Bette saw the woman she gasped and slammed the door behind her. "What the hell are you doing here?" Bette cried.
"You thought you wouldn’t be the first person I’d find after my release?" She said.
"How can you be out of prison?" Bette snapped angrily, "you were given 25 to life!"
"It’s been 26 years," she said, "they let me out on good conduct."
