Shane’s POV

I get back to my place and take a shower. Then I finish up and go to bed…but I can’t sleep. I have Carmen on my mind. I really think I love this girl. I mean she’s so beautiful and we have such a great past. She means so much to me and I wanna be with her so bad….but she has a boyfriend. And her family would deffinatly not approve of me dating their daughter….I think I need to just sleep this one off.






The next morning I wake up and put on another one of the suits they had made for me and leave to go pick up Carmen….




The Beach House

Carmen’s POV


I walk down stairs to go get something to eat and Shane’s standing in the kitchen.

“Hey Carm.”

“Hello Shane.” I don’t look at her. I just open the fridge and look for something to eat……nothin.

“Ugh! I’m starved!”

“Well I could take you some where…”

“Fine. Let’s go”




Shane’s POV

I’m assuming Carmen’s mad about me leaving her the other night. But don’t you think I should be mad at her?! She’s the one who ruined a perfect moment by mentioning her boyfriend…..well anyways. I still feel like I have to make it up to her. So I’m gonna take her to my good friends Bette and Tina’s place. They’re almost like the parents I never had. And they make really good steak!


“Where are we even going Shane? We’ve been driving for like fourty minutes.”

“We’re gonna go to Bette and Tina’s for some steak”

“Oh……well that sounds really good right now”

“Yup! And they make a mean steak”




We pull up to Bette and Tina’s and everyone’s here. All my friends and even little Shay is here.

“Hey everyone. I brought a gift.”

“Oh my gosh Carmen. I haven’t seen you around in ages. It’s so great to see you!”

“haha its good seein you too Bette. I’ve just been busy with law school and everything.”

“Enough with the chit chat everyone! Let’s eat!”

Alice is always the first to dive at the table for food. So people know not to reach first…..but I guess Carmen had forgot after all these years.

“Wow. Watch it missy. I can kick Shane’s ass and then you’ll be bodyguard-less.”

Everyone laughs and Carmen rubs her hand where alice had slapped it away.

“Ow! What?”

“Alice is always the first to get the food. Don’t ask why cause we don’t know.”

“Oh you know Shane. It’s cause I’ll whoop your ass.”

“Haha ok Al”


We all eat and chat about things that have been goin on. It’s been awhile since we’ve had everyone together like this.

“Hey Shane?”

“Yeah?”

“I want to go somewhere after this.”

“What’d you have in mind?”

Well it seems like Carmen’s in a better mood.

“Your club!”

“What? No. Deffinatly not. No”

“What? Why not? I really wanna go. I don’t even know what it is you do. I wanna see what you do. Please Shane, Please!”

“……..fine Carm. We’ll go after we leave here”

She gives me a huge hug and puts on a big smile. She’s like a little kid sometimes…..it’s cute.

Well we ended up staying at Bette and Tina’s for another couple of hours. And Carmen keeps looking at me and hoping that it’s time to go.

“Alright Carm you ready?”

“Yes! …..I mean yeah I’m ready.”


We say goodbye to everyone and leave towards the car. We get in and Carmen keeps looking over at me. Like she has something to say.

“What’s goin on Carm?”

“Nothing.”

“You sure about that?”

“……we broke up.”

“Oh..I’m sorry to hear that.”

“I broke up with him.”

“Oh.”

“I hate how him and my father are always talking about me behind my back….you know he told my father that we were getting married.”

“He proposed to you??”

“No! That’s the thing. Him and my dad always try to make my plans and they never include me. I’m not one to be controlled……and I don’t even love him.”

She looks all upset now. And I feel really bad. But at the same time I’m a little bit excited that she’s single now.


“Ok. We’re here. You ready?”

“Yeah.”


We get out and head into the club. And I’m greeted by an old fling.

“Hey Shane. Where have you been. Certin people around here are missin you.”

She says this as she steps closer and plays with my tie. I pull the tie out of her hands

“I’ve been a little busy. Excuse us please.”

I grab Carmen’s hand and walk away heading towards the bar.

“Let’s dance!”

“Oh…..no I don’t really dance.”

“Oh please. Come on.”

Carmen pulls me out onto the dance floor and she puts my hands on her hips and starts dancing. God, she’s an amazing dancer. I could dance all night at this rate. Then the song switches to a slower flow and I stop moving. And stand there looking a little shy. Then Carmen comes up to me and puts her arms around my neck and we move slowly to the music.

“Looks like you have quite a fan club.”

I look up and see the same girl from earlier staring at us.

“What can I say, they like my music.”

“Haha, well I’m sure they like more then that.”

I just shrug. These girls don’t mean much to me. They come a dime a dozen.

“Oh come on Shane. You would be blind not to notice.”

I pull back a little and look her in the eye.

“All I see is you.”

She smiles at me so sweetly and then someone grabs my shoulder from behind and turns me around.

“What the fuck is this Carmen? You left me for some little dyke romance of yours?!”

“What the hell are you doing here?”

“What are you doing here? And with this piece of shit? I know she’s more then a bodyguard to you Carmen. And I understand your probley confused. But I’m here to help you out with that.”

He goes to kiss her and she tries to push him off but she can’t. So I grap him and punch him clear in the face. Then he pulls out a gun and points it at me. Carmen runs to stand by me and he gets pissed and puts his finger over the trigger. Then a girl who was running out of the club bumps into him and he drops the gun. So I take this chance to grab Carmen and we run out of the club and into the car.


We’re driving and I start heading towards Carmen’s place. We hadn’t said a word. Both of us too shookin up to think.

“Shane. I don’t wanna go home.”

“Umm. Ok. You can come over to my place if you want.”

“Yea…thank you.”


I flip the car around and we drive off towards my appartment. And when we get there I open her door and walk her to my place. I open up my door and we go in.


“Umm my bedroom is right over there. And I’ll be right in here on the couch if you need me ok”

She stays silent and doesn’t move. So I walk over to her.

“Carmen? Come on you should get some…..”

She cuts me off with a kiss. A deep, slow, and hard kiss. She throws her arms around my neck like she’s trying to not let me go. But I’m not trying to go anywhere. I can’t fight it. I want this moment. I want her. And I want her to feel as good as she’s making me feel.

So I pick her up and carry her towards my room. When I get her there I lay her down gently on my bed. We finally break the kiss and we’re both out of breath. Trying catch it while undressing eachother. I finish undressing her. She finishes undressing me. And I look down at her laying on my bed. She’s so beautiful to me. I can’t imagine anyone even coming close to her. She’s perfection. That’s the only way to put it.
