    The one where Tina gets to the hospital

    Something so right

    Chapter 148

    The one thing about having a very expensive sports car was how fast Tina was able to get to the hospital where James had told her that he had taken Bette. All the way there Tina had been  panicking about what James had told her about Bette’s illness. She did know a little about meningitis – she knew that it was very serious in babies and young children but she didn’t know if it was just as serious in adults. For Gods sake Bette was the fittest woman she knew- she ate well, she didn’t drink that much and she was almost obsessed about running and putting in the hard work at the gym – so how could she be sick – not only sick but as sick as James thought she was. Driving just inside and occasionally outside the speed limit Tina arrived at the hospital within 30 minutes. James was standing outside the entrance of the hospital talking on his mobile phone. He walked over to meet Tina who jumped out of her car and hurried to him

    “Thank God you are here “

    “James – what the hell is going on – she was fine this morning – a bit tired but I never thought for a second that “

    James put his hands on Tina’s arm “Take a few deep breaths Tina “

    Tina nodded “Yeah – good idea”

    James held her arms while Tina managed to control the rising panic that was growing inside her.

    “Okay- thanks – tell me James”

    “Bette is hardly ever ill – she is a freak in how she can be the only one standing when everyone else had got a cold or something – so when she walked in this morning and she looked like hell – it did concern me “

    Tina bite her lip  – Bette hadn’t looked well when she had left for work but Tina had out it down to  tiredness and the after effects of jet lag. She nodded

    “Every time I went into her office she looked worse- she was complaining of a blinding headache and she started saying that it was too bright – it was making her eyes hurt so she had all the blinds closed. By lunchtime I was genuinely getting scared so I went in to try and talk to her about going home or letting me call you and you coming to get her but she was really ill by that point. It was then that I saw the rash on her arm”

    5. Great chapter. You are still the queen of drama in giving us this chapter. Just let her be okay for Tina and Elizabeth, they need her and she needs them. James was really sweet to Tina when she needed him the most and he tried so valiantly to allay her fears and lend comfort to her. Glad he told her how much Bette loves her and in the ways that she shows it at work. And also that Bette will really need comforting and lots of loving as she is recuperating from this because she is not as tough as she wants people to believe, which Tina already knows. Thanks.

    7. This is sad…this is not the news I am waiting….omg…I wish it was ‘Viral” But I guess with the Lumbar Puncture.. I guess not…sigh…Thanks Ally for the post. Still anxiously waiting.

    9. OMG Ally!! Not only you gave Bette meningitis but also the bacterial one! >_< where are you going to take this story to?! I am getting worry that it will cost my little heart's a breakdown ... I hope it wont be so bad .. :-( well, thanks for the update of course and looking forward to more chapters from you :-)
