Alice stared at the alarm clock. It read 6:47 and she’d barely slept a half hour after settling Tina down before she woke up with thoughts of that searing kiss her and Dana had shared just hours before. “God what were you thinking Al?? she said out loud to herself, before a little voice inside her head answered “You were thinking you couldn’t go another day without telling Dana, who you never thought you’d fall in love with how you really feel.” Alice decided to get up and go get some coffee for her and Tina all the while hoping that she would find Dana there so they could talk. She got into the shower and decided today she would look hot, then maybe Dana would look at her in a different way.

Across town Dana was just getting in from her morning jog, exhausted from the late night visit by Alice she decided that she would go to the Planet before her morning training session, hoping maybe caffeine could get her through the day. Dana hopped in the shower with thoughts of Alice in her head, wondering what that beautiful kiss meant to Alice, and still completely unsure of what it meant to her. The one thing she did know was that the feelings that flooded her body when she was kissing her best friend last night was something she had never felt with anyone else. Not Tonya, and not even Lara. As she was leaving the house she left a note for her fianc saying that they had to talk. Dana knew what she had to do, she just wasn’t too sure about how to do it yet.

When Alice walked into the Planet she quickly scanned the morning crowd looking for anyone she knew, spotting Shane and Jenny she quickly walked up to them. “Hey guys, what’s up?” “Nothing much” Shane answered before adding “Your looking pretty hot today Al, what’s the occasion?” Alice grinned “Why thank you stud, I just wanted to look nice today” Before the blonde could give any further explanation Jenny quickly popped into the conversation “Oh look, there’s LA’s hottest new athlete celebrity.”
Alice looked over and her face immediately flushed, her mind racing with thoughts about
what to say to Dana and how she should act. Shane who is quietly the most observant of the group, noticed and looked at her friend with a questioning gaze but decided to drop it and talk to her about it in private.

Dana walked up to the group and sat down, looking at Alice she said “I got our usual morning muffin, you still want to share” “Of course” Alice said a little bit too enthusiastically. Both Shane and Jenny noticed around the same time that something weird was going on, there was definitely a change in the way these two friends interacted. After a few minutes Dana looked at the group and asked “Has anyone seen Bette and Tina? I have something really important I need to talk to you guys about” At this question Alice’s face fell and she searched for a way to answer it without depressing the entire group. She collected her thoughts and sighed “Actually, I need to talk to everyone abut that, and please don’t kill the messenger but Bette cheated on Tina with the Provocations carpenter Candace. “WHAT?!” they all exclaimed at once. “Yea, but before we all call Bette and leave her angry messages on her voice mail we need to remember that we are friends with both Tina and Bette, so we need to be there for both of them no matter how pissed off we are at Bette for ***** up so badly.” Shane looked up at Alice with tears in her eyes, and said “Your right Al, but who told you that you could take my Yoda job?” The group laughed halfheartedly and Dana looked at Alice took a deep breath and started talking “I guess I will tell you guys what I was going to say anyway” She paused and tentatively grabbed Alice’s hand gave her a knowing look and said….
