    Tina tells her parents

    ONE AND ONLY

    CHAPTER 48

    Tina had been deliberately keeping out of her mothers way once they had arrived home. Tina had her letter from the school and she knew what her grades were and she knew where that had placed her in the final ranking of her year group. She was happy about the place – when her form teacher had told her – the first thought she had experienced was one of sheer relief – there was no way her parents were going to be pissed about THAT. She had talked to him for ten minutes and he had said nice things to her. Just like he had said nice things about her at the parents evening. But tonight wasn’t just about grades – it was a much bigger night than that. She didn’t want the conversation with her mothers until they were at dinner – this was how she planned to come out to her mothers and this WAS how she was going to do it.

    So she had stayed in her room – supposedly chatting to her friends and discussing what grades everyone had got – in truth she had been rehearsing the words she wanted to use. In the end she had given up and gone for a long bath.

    Kate was just serving up three plates of beef stir-fry in the kitchen when Tina walked into the kitchen
    “I was wondering where you had got to “
    “I fell asleep “ Tina lied

    “Well you have been under a lot of pressure – are you okay ?”
    “I am fine “

    “So are you going to tell us how you did ?”

    “At dinner “ Tina said

    “You know though don’t you ?”
    “My teacher talked to me today when he gave me the letter and the report card”
    “I was wondering how they did it “
    “Well telling us saves us having to steam the letter open”
    Kate laughed “I did that once with my report card”

    “You and mum were happy at the Parents evening though ?”

    Kate looked at Tina who did look pale – if her grades were good maybe she deserved a little holiday – she had certainly impressed both of them with her attitude and her work rate in the ,last few weeks.

    2. Wonderful update. So happy Tina did not have problems when she divulged the news. Hope Bette has the same success with her mother. If I’m not mistaken Rosemary was either thinking to herself or talking out loud to someone when she said, “she wouldn’t care if Bette was gay, she would have someone that cared about her,” I think. I believe Melvin will be another matter. Love the way you are writing this story, AllyE. Thanks so much.

And feel so happy and glad on the support and reaction. Now I wonder how would it be with Bette? When Bette tells Rossie, will Melvin accidentally overheard it!? And will the parents supportive towards their relationship?! Oh so many things on my mind now… So looking forward to more updates from you Ally! And pardon me… Based on what I know after reading and re-reading your stories… I still prepared myself for a roller coaster drama ride here ;-) LOL :-D Hail the Queen!! 👑

    14. Thanks for the update. Great conversation between Tina and her moms. They do balance one another out when it comes to their daughter. Leave it to Emma to grill her about sex. She should feel confident that Tina knows what she is doing as her grades reflected what was important at the time. Yes, hormones can get the best of her if she let them but she is a confident and mostly in control teenager now that she knows and expressed her truth in a safe environment. Good for her! Keeps getting better and better. Let’s hope that Bette had a successful conversation with her mother as well.

    15. Here we go, can’t believe Tina actually used the phrase “fooling around” jeez do you know what American parents think about that phrase? I don’t know how it is in England, but here fooling around is pretty much as bad as sex. Lol Tina has guts
