NEW YORK MINUTE
CHAPTER 74
　
“What do you want to drink with your cereal Angie ?”
“Orange please “
“Good choice madam “ Bette pulled open the fridge door and removed the carton of juice and poured some into a glass and placed it in front of Angie who was sitting at the table.
“Where is mommy ? “ Angie asked
“She is in the shower “ Bette said. They had laid in bed and talked for hours so it was understandable that Tina was tired. Bette had let her sleep as long as possible and it was only when Bette was almost dressed that the blonde had opened her eyes. Bette had told her to rest and she would take care of Angie.
“Can we go to see the dinosaurs at the weekend ?” Angie asked
“We can talk about it tonight – what are you doing at school today ?”
“Playing games and its reading after lunch”
“Oh – that reminds me – I haven’t got your lunch ready yet – what fruit would you like – banana, Satsuma or a red apple ?”
“Red apple – have we got any yoghurts ?”
“Sure – any flavour ?”
“Any “
Bette left Angie alone to make sure Angie had enough to eat at break time and at lunchtime. She was just adding a yoghurt to Angie’s lunchbox when Tina walked in
“Hey there “
“Hello there “
“You okay ?”
“Not too bad “ Tina admitted “Tired – what about you ?”
“I think we need an early night tonight “
“That might turn into anything but an early night “ Tina said
Bette raised an eyebrow and grinned “That is a risk that I am prepared to take”
“I know what a dare devil you are “
“I was thinking that maybe at the weekend we should do something really special – something to celebrate our engagement. I would really like to do something that Angie would enjoy – she wants to go and see the dinosaurs but I want something more than that. We could take her to be posh restaurant but I am not sure if she will enjoy that”
Tina removed the fruit juice carton from the fridge and poured herself some into a glass and drained it. As she swallowed it she nodded

Thanks for the update and Happy Belated Thanksgiving to you. You know that I so love your stories and I really don’t like to leave any comments that may upset the author, especailly one of your caliber, but as a person who so loves the family interaction, I was somewhat amist and actually went back to read the section about three times to be sure of my discovery, but I was correct:You failed to have Tina say good morning to Angie when she came into the kitchen that morning and Bette was making Angies lunch. I think that Shane is right Tina needs to see her parents to either make amends or put the past behind her. Still loving this story of family and love.
