Suddenly Tina felt the fatigue taking over her body as she sadly looked at the cake, although still placed on the cake pan it was already split into half. How stupid she could be for not seeing the stupid onion. She didn’t know what to do, she didn’t have anyone to help her serve the food to the guests, the cake that she promised to her mom was now ruined, and everything seemed to be going downhill.
Tina just remained seated on the floor and felt her eyes filling up with tears; she couldn’t believe that the perfect cake that she was just admiring a moment ago was now cracked into two. She covered her face to hide the tears
"Tina…"
Her heart jumped when she heard that soft voice, the blonde removed her hands from her face and slowly looked up only to see the beautiful face that would always take her breath away… worry was so evident in her dark brown eyes
"Need help?"
Chapter Thirty-Four
Bette was standing in front of the blonde with her worried eyes
Tina gave the brunette a weak smile and said "Please…"
The dark eyed-beauty held her hand out to the blonde, which Tina gladly accepted. As the blonde quickly wiped the tears on her eyes, Bette took the cake off the floor and put it on top of the kitchen table.
Although both women would like first to say a few words to each other, with those people waiting outside they knew that now was not the right time for a small chitchat, for now it was time to get back to work.
"Tina I’m not an expert when it comes to baking but we can still do something about the cake"
The blonde just nodded. Bette took a spare apron that was neatly hanging on the side of the kitchen and wore it; the brunette gave the blonde a small smile "I hope you don’t mind me borrowing this for a few minutes"
Tina returned a weak smile "No I wouldn’t mind" the blonde said her voice soft
Bette folded her sleeves then looked at the cake which was now split into half for a moment and thought of the best way to salvage it.

Hey phacey – nice chapter. So glad they put their lamenting and pinning aside to focus on Jean’s celebration. When you ended the last chapter I was wondering why Tina didn’t just ask Kit, Alice and Shane for help, but I suppose having Bette intercede was a good way to get them together but also give them something to focus on outside of themselves. Anyway glad Bette stepped in to save the day, and glad she rescued the cake. That was pretty creative improvising. Thanks for putting up with my rants. I know sometimes I just get too carried away by my frustration with these two, but your talented writing and unexpected twists and turns keeps me coming back for more. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Phacey sweetie what a great update! Happy to see some changes between Bette and Tina, in this chapter i see maturity. Although im a tibette fan its nice to see that Bette respects Tina’s relationship with Sam. I know that u want tbette to become friends but i wonder what this ”friendship” will do to tina and sam’s relationship? Please post soon, im really anxious on what’s going to happen next, thanks hun!(-;
