Tina, Nathan and Amy all sat around Bette’s hospital bed.

Taylor, Ashley walked in “You ready Bette?” Ashley asked

“As I’ll ever be” Bette said

Fear took over Amy and Tina’s face.

“Nathan come give me a hug” Bette said

Nathan walked over wrapping his arms around his Mama. “I
love you mama” Nathan said finishing with an eskimo kiss “See you soon”

“I can’t do this” Amy said quickly leaving the room running
right into Jacqui’s arms.

Jacqui was standing outside the room. She had a feeling Amy
wasn’t going to take it well and wanted to be there to catch her.

Jacqui took Amy into her arms. “Shhh I’m here baby” Jacqui
soothed as she held her wife tight “Let it out”

Nathan came out the room with Ashley and Taylor.

“Nathan why don’t you go sit in reception with Aiden” Ashley
suggested noticing how upset Amy was.

“Ok” Nathan agreed walking off

“Amy look at me” Ashley said

Amy did as she was asked Ashley wiped away tears from Amy’s
face taking both Amy’s hands.

“I promise you if there is any sign of your Mama going into
risk I will stop the procedure, I will do everything in my power to make sure
she’s okay” Ashley said “I don’t think it’s a good idea for her to see you like
this, it will only upset her more”

“Let’s get out of here…well go a walk” Jacqui said wrapping
her arms around her wife

“Don’t you be disappearing on me” Tina warned “I’m serious”

“I would never do that intentionally” Bette smiled

“I love you so so much, and I’m trying not to be afraid here
but I’m absolutely terrified”

“Me too” Bette admitted kissing Tina “let’s get this over
with”

Tina went to the door letting Ashley and Taylor know Bette
was ready.

Tina held Bette’s hand till she could go no further. 

“She better come back to me, or you two will be joining her
elsewhere” Tina warned Ashley and Taylor

Ashley laughed “Thanks for that nice boost in confidence
Tina”

Tina looked down at Bette and softly kissed her “I love you
so much and we need you so just remember that, your wife, your children and
your grandchildren need you!”

“Hold it, don’t you be going anywhere just yet!” Kit raced
up the corridor out of breath “Stupid LA traffic”
