Just then her phone rang

Caller I.D

Carmen…and she smiled.

Shane picked up the phone, jenny grinned and Shane moved from the table,

Hi,

C: Hi how are you?

S: Im ok are you good

C: yea its just, this is so dumb, it feels like I haven’t seen you for ages, I no you only just left but do you wanna get a coffee.

Shane’s heart jumped: Yea that would be very cool.

An hour later Carmen turned up at the planet, showered and changed and she looked great

Shane was fighting to keep the smile off her face as Carmen walked towards her.

Hi Carmen said, hi, umm how do you like your coffee, it was probely the least cool thing Shane could of said, but she had the habit of getting tong tied when Carmen was near.

C:Milk no sugar, Carmen said sweetly

S: No you’re sweet enough

Carmen grinned; Shane walked off to get the coffee

Shane re-appeared a few mins later with two hot cups of strong coffee, having both been up all night they needed them.

C:so are you ok now

S: yea thanks I just feel, a bit you no stupid

C: you no im always here if you don’t wanna be alone

Shane smiled; they finished their coffee Shane was just trying to think of a reason to get Carmen to stay when Carmen spoke

C: I did umm have a favour to ask you

S:ask away

C: your friend Dana told me that you skate, and my lill brother has well broken his fav board I wondered if you wouldn’t mind tacking a quick look at it, I was meant to take it to the shop yesterday but I forgot.

Shane smiled then looked at her. It was that kind of smile that made Carmen melt, her insides felt like they were doing backflips all she wanted to do was lean over and kiss her, she felt herself moving, leaning closer over the table

*Cough

They both jumped and looked up, it was Tina, sorry hope I didn’t intrupped anything, no not at all Shane replied, Tina walked off to get some coffee then she turned to Carmen

S: yea I can take a look, no problem
