Chapter 34:
“Hey Bette.”
“Hey Kar. What’s up?”
“I just wanted to let you know that I am having a birthday dinner at Maggiano’s next Saturday after our game.”
“Oh ok. So no party this year? What do you think you’re too old for a Bette Porter birthday bash in your honor?”
“No B. I love your parties. You know I do. I just thought we could do dinner and maybe the teenage club after.”
“Oh well Tina is not 16 yet so maybe we’ll skip the club. I have your gift though. You are going to love it my friend.”
“Well maybe you can ask that girl Miranda for a favor. She works the door and I’m sure she’ll do anything for you tiger.” Karen makes a tiger growl and laughs.
“Please. That chick thinks she’s some type of vampire.”
“She’s not that bad. She’s kind of cute in a weird dark way.”
“Well you can sweet talk her. I had to get a tetanus shot because of that girl.”
Kaen laughed. “Ok Bella. I’ll talk to her.”
“Oh you think you’re funny?”
“I’m just playing. I’m sure I can get TK in. She is after all, the newest star of the Clinton High Angels.
Bette reflected on that for a moment. Tina will be getting a lot of attention when Bette leaves next year. Not since Helena made her feel like shit has she ever contemplated what it would be like to be dumped. Bette did not get dumped, but suddenly she is thinking about the possibility.
“Hey Bette. You still there?”
“Yes Kar. I was just thinking about next year.”
“You’re gonna miss her aren’t you?”
“More than anything.”
“I’m used to having a bevy of girls as options at all times. Now I’m in love and I only want to be with her.”
“Well that’s a good thing right?”
“Well yeah. It’s just…..”
“Just what B?”
“What if I can’t wait the 4 plus years without her. I mean it would be holidays and breaks until we’re both out of college. What if I’m not strong enough to be faithful? I don’t want to hurt Tina.”
“Then don’t Porter. I have never seen you so happy with anyone, myself included. Step up to the plate BP.”

Just caught up on teh last 2 chapters and they are great! But really I’m getting freaked out that I think a thought a you write it. maggiano’s is my favorite italian restaurant!!! As for Karen and Desi I still think it has the potential to get real ugly if they start having problems and Bette and Tina are foced to take sides. I think Bette is loyal to her freinds no matter what and it might cause aproblem if she doesn’t side w/ Tina & Desi if things go sour. It’s great the Bette loves Tina and wants to stay w/ her if she goes away to college but realistically w/ her sex drive there is no way holidays will suffice if she goes to CT. All of this to say that Stanford is the way to go. PPS, this is one of my favorite stories and I’m super curious about what Helena’s next devious steps will be to win Bette back away from Tina.
Great update. If Bette is starting to question fidelity within herself then she will end up cheating. She obviously has no business being in a relationship with anyone because players only love one person, themselves. Better get ready Carmen, your chance is coming up fast. Thank you

That was a very nice update. I love it. For a while it will be little weird that Desi and Karen are dating and I can see some drama for Bette and Tina because of it. So good.
