Two day after the baby~

Kit: okay, Bette give me my nephew and you help your wife in the car. Come on Z. you want to be with me, dont you? See, he says YES. Bette, Tina, he is gorgeous, and oh he is going to have that Porter charm, arent you little guy?

Bette: T, you okay? Do you need anything? Okay, Kit, hand him over, we are going to buckle him in,
Kit reluctantly hands the baby to Bette, and she puts him in the car seat, Alice, Shane, Kit, Dana and even Tina are laughing as Bette struggles with the car seat. *****, T, how the ***** does this work? I am an Ivy League grad and can not figure out a baby seat.

Tina: (smiling) Here, it is easy baby, just like this, (with a little click, it is secure) see easy as 1…2…3…

Bette: you practiced, (Bette closed the door and walked to the other side. She got in beside the baby, and Alice and Dana got in the front, while Shane and Kit followed behind them. Bette had been unable to take her eyes off Zach since he was born). T, look, he is sucking. Look at his mouth, aww that is so cute. You think he is hungry?
Tina looking over at Bette and smiling, no he is not hungry, he just ate. I think he is just dreaming.

Alice: well, there is no turning back now, I hope he is a good sleeper, I hear some babies confuse day and night, and the parents lose their minds.

Bette: Zachary is smart. I know he wont do that. (she reaches over and touches his curly brown hair.) He is amazing, T, I just cant believe he is ours.

Tina: He is beautiful. I am just so tired, maybe I can sleep on the way home.

Bette: baby, you sleep the whole way, I will take care of our little man, you dont have anything to worry about.

Tina: thank you baby. (with that she leaned her head back, and fell fast asleep.)

Alice: Oh my GOD They say L.A. traffic is bad, this is crazy, it is stopped. I cant believe this. Dana, baby, what time is it?

Dana: it is 5 pm. Our fight is at 8 we are okay. I think. (laughing) I have not seen traffic like this before.

Bette: Look how close the cars pull up behind each other, TX drivers(rolling her eyes) but this stand still lulled Tina to sleep, look at how beautiful she is?

Alice: okay Bette, remember our boring intervention? We apparently have time for another,
Bette: okay okay, I get the picture, I called James, he is getting Patrick and going to take him to the house and surprise Tina by painting the babys room, I am having the furniture all delivered so it will be set up, you think she will like that?

Alice and Dana: BORING

Bette: oh Jesus you guys, what do you want me to talk about girls, and bikinis? I am a mom now, you might have to deal with it, now, what is up with you two? Ms. Dana, you made quite a pretty penny, whatcha gonna do with it?

Dana: well, actually, I was hoping some ***** blonde would go with me on an Olivia cruise.

Bette: sorry, Tina is taken.

Alice: shut up Bette, Dane, are you serious? A CRUISE?

Dana: not just a cruise, but an OLIVIA cruise, and thought we could take Shane along, Kit declined, she said she needs to spoil the ***** out of Z.

Alice: Oh Dana, I would love it. I (she leans over and kisses Dana) thank you baby.

Dana: who knows, maybe we will get boring too.

Bette: (looking at the baby) I would not change it for a million dollars, I love this life. I love my wife, and our baby.

Alice: (looking in the backseat,) you know Bette, he is beautiful, and so is your wife, you are lucky, very lucky. ( looking at Dana) I am too.

Dana: I am lucky too. I love you Al,

Alice: I love you Dana.

Bette: I love you too Al, and I love you too Dane.

Alice and Dana: we love you too.

Traffic started to move, slowly but moving. Bette stared at the city, we came to Houston as a couple and are leaving as a family. Bette put her hand on the baby seat and fell asleep.

Tina: Bette, baby, we are here, time to wake up.

Bette: mmm, I must have dozed off, did he wake you up?

Tina; no, he is still sleeping. Thank you for letting me rest. I needed it.

Bette: yes, I guess I did too. (laughing) where is Shane and Kit?

Alice: they are still behind us, we will wait here, and they should catch up.

Bette helped Tina out of the car, and threw the diaper bag over her shoulder, and tried to release the baby seat, snap. I did it She pulled the seat out and carried it in her hand, as she held tightly to Tinas hand.

Kit: there is my man. Hi little guy, how was the ride?

Bette: Aunt Kit, he was so good. He slept the entire time, he even let his mommies take a nap.

Kit: he is a Porter. Right Z?

Shane: hey Kit, could I hold him?

Kit: sure, here you go, Z go see Aunt Shane.

Shane sits down and holds the baby, he is so little, oh wow, something so little with so much power over people

Bette: (sitting next to Shane) so, what do you think?

Shane: he is so ***** CUTE, I might very well be falling in love with him. Look at the way he just stares at me. He knows me, wow, Bette, what a ***** rush.

Bette: you think he is a keeper?

Shane: Bette, I think you are the luckiest lady in the world. A beautiful baby, a gorgeous wife, you really have it all. Boring is underrated. I am jealous of this little being in my arms. He has so much love, do you think I will ever find it? I used to think it would be me and Alice, with no one to love, yet she found it. Now it is just me, will I find it Bette?

Bette: (touching the babys fingers) Shane, you have so much to give to people, so much love, you will find the right girl. She is out there, just waiting on you. Trust me.

Shane: thanks for that Bette, (brings her lips to the babys forehead) he is precious. I love him Bette.

Bette: me too. Now you hold him and I am going to go check on my wife.

Tina: where is Zachary?

Bette: Shane has him, hey are you okay?

Tina: yes, I am wonderful. I am so happy, I just cant even believe how lucky we are baby. I am wondering if we should contact Marcus when we get home.

Bette: yea, I suppose we should. (taking Tinas hand,) I love you Tina. You are my everything.

Tina: baby, we have a family. I love you too.

They walk hand in hand to Shane and the baby. Alice and Dana are watching them.

Announcer: flight 43 to Los Angeles is now boarding, passengers traveling with small children and anyone with special needs are asked to board now.

Bette: T, you ready? Guys we will see you on the plane.

Tina; see you later guys.

They boarded the plane, the Porter family. They found their seat and Bette helped Tina with her suitcase, and then stored the baby seat. She sat down beside her wife, and watched lovingly as Tina put the towel over her shoulder and began to breast feed Zachary. that is beautiful, T. she whispered to Tina.

The flight home was quiet. Uneventful. They arrived on time, and Tina and Bette waited until the other passengers departed, Shane helped them with their bags and Kit carried the babys things. Bette got up first and took the baby, and then she held her hand out for Tina to take, thank you Bette, Bette smiled at her, and they walked off the plane. They walked out to the lobby, and Bette looked stunned as she saw who was waiting for them.
