Alice had been running late already, her alarm didnt go off that morning and it set her an hour behind. She was supposed to meet Dana and Shane at The Planet and now by the time she got there theyd be gone and fairly upset. But to make all the matters worst, her car had broken down last night and she had to either catch the bus or walk.

She reached the Planet, soaked head to toe from the overly crowded bus (it had gone through a puddle) and tired from running to catch it. Surprisingly enough Shane was still sitting in her usual spot, reading a newspaper (or pretending too) and drinking her coffee. Alice walked right up to Shane ready to apologize if needed but instead Shane just bursted into laughter.

Wow Al. Shane said nearly sipping out her coffee. I dont see what Dana sees in you but i guess some like the…wet look. Alice rolled her eyes and slumped into a chair. She needed some coffee but she couldnt spot the usual waitress that brought her her drinks.

Yea, speaking of which, where is Dana? Alice said getting up ready to order herself something. She could decide, normal coffee or many a cappuccino or something…coffee just sounded boring.

She left over an hour ago. Sorry youll have to sneak your adultly some other time. Shane said still flipping through the newspaper. Alice was surprised because if Shane had been pretending she would have already set the paper down.

Then what are you still doing here? Alice asked.

Three appointments called and cancelled into morning. The wedding got postponed. Alice shook her head and went to the counter to order. Shane looked over at Alice, she knew how upset Dana was when she had left. It was hard enough for them to even see each other as of recently because of Tonyas constant urge to keep them apart and somehow they had managed to find time at the Planet. And Shane didnt mind being there just incase Tonya was to show up and start asking questions.

So. Alice said sitting back down holding a cappuccino. Was she upset? Shane saw the sweet hope in Alices eyes. She actually believed Dana might tell Tonya she was in love with Alice but Shane had her doubts. She knew people better then that, Dana wouldnt say anything and if she did, it wouldnt be until the wedding or worst…years after.
