LET IT BE – Chapter Two
Bette Porter closed the front door and dropped the dead bolt so that finally she was alone with Tina. She lent against the door and spoke to herself
“Fucking hell Porter – what the hell did you let happen tonight? “
She hadn’t just LET IT HAPPEN — she had instigated it and been complicate in an event that could affect them for the rest of their lives. She went across and poured a whiskey hoping that the alcohol would make the images that were playing in her head disappear. But they would not – she knew herself well enough to know that if something happened that was bad or painful she was not like her friends in being able to “ just forget it “. Bette’s personality dictated that she took a painful scene and put it on a constant loop in her brain.
As she stood in the dark she heard a soft voice
“Bette “
The voice was a wake up call – while she had allowed it to happen – Tina had been the woman
to whom it had happened. She poured another whiskey and a brandy and went back into their bedroom. Tina was lying naked – just covered by a thin white sheet. Bette’s heart grew huge at the sight of the blonde – would she ever know just how amazing she was? Did Tina know that if they split up it would be Bette that would fall apart – that Bette would be unable to function without her wife?
“Has he gone? “ Tina asked
Bette nodded and sat on the bed
“Brandy? “
Tina nodded and sat up and took the glass -she sipped it – the taste was strong but she
needed the warmth t hat it offered. Bette waited until Tina had drained the glass in a few sips and removed the glass – putting it beside her untouched second whiskey.
“How do you feel? “ Bette asked
“Weird “Bette pulled her knees up and sighed
“Did we just make a huge mistake babe?”
“We are desperate to have a baby – you know what it means to me and I know what it means to you “

Wow. I really hope this doesn’t drive a wedge between them especially if Tina does become pregnant by him.If it was me I would have made Tina at least shower first.Just Kidding.I have faith in your writing.

Yeah, I definitely hope this doesn’t come between them. It would suck if this spurs Bette to infidelity.. or away from Tina in any way. Especially since it was Bette’s idea. Its something they did. Its over. Move on. Hopefully with a kid.

Hello Ally, This is an intrguing and interesting play on the events of the pilot. I sense I lot of ‘what-ifs’ in this tale. Good to see that the gals are trying to work through the events of the previous evening. OK, his stench was on Tina but that was only until Bette’s skilled hands and mouth overwhelmed Tina and took her to the gates of heaven. This is the difference between fucking and making love. The former is a purely physical act which releases tension while the latter is the whole deal – toe-curling, lip smashing, puddle making, sheet gripping and Banshee screaming deal. Strange how the tactile reminders fade while the mental one continue to punish us. I do hope that Bette can get past this. It will take time and she needs to share it with Tina. Trust Tina with her innermost fears. No I really can wait until use wonderful words continue this dynamic and different drama. Many thanls fro all that you do. It is so appreciated and respected. I’m like Bette. I couldn’t get the image out of my head. I still have shit from years ago that plays now and then on a constant loop in my mind and it’s haunting. And now for something gross. When Bette entered Tina I was thinking, “EWWWWWWWWWWWW SPLOOGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Yes, I’m 27 going on 14. ;)
This is great. Hopefully, Bette won’t let this destroy their relationship and will continue to communicate with Tina what she’s feeling.

So key here is the wedge you talked about…if they choose to let it come between them. I’m hoping that this story goes on long enough to see them thru. I’m a bit surprised that Bette didn’t have her and Tina shower before making her mark on Tina again. I would have thought that the aftershave smell etc would have been to strong to overcome…Great chapter Ally!!!

I love how you have taken a scene from the show and recreated a new story with it. You are a fabulous writer and I have loved all your stories. I trust you with this one.
This was Bette’s suggestion so if she let’s it cause strife between them she only has herself to blame. They love and would do anything for each other. Granted most couples would never introduce a third party to thier relationship but they both agreed so there should be no harsh feelings towards each other. What’s done is done if they need to they should talk it out and then leave it in the past. PPS
Bette’s fears have only just begun to surface. Hopefully she & T will continue talking about everything, as you wrote them doing so well in this chapter Ally. But…if T is pregnant, will Pete waive his rights to the baby? Tina did lie to him and tell him she was infertile, but in order for Bette to legally become the baby’s other parent, he will have to sign away all of his rights. When the baby is born and looks like Pete will Bette still be able to manage her demons? And B&T may be free from disease, but what about Pete? Did he donate more than what B&T wanted? One of the many things that Tina is going to have to do in the next four to six weeks is get tested – for everything. And she will have to continue being tested on a regular basis for some time thereafter. I think Bette and Tina will be kicking themselves the ass the more they think about this…it may have felt like it in that moment, but given a few days I think they will both begin to understand that their situation wasn’t nearly as desperate as they felt it was at the time. They will soon begin to realize all of the other options they had available to them. But as you said Ally…it’s already done. Now only you can lead us down the path and let us know whether or not they can make it together. Your writing is phenomenal Ally.

Interesting twist of the plot. Trust is the main key, here. B&T need to lean on each other and talk. Lack of trust always put a lot of pressure on a relationship & it can deteriorate & destroy it. But, we believe that love & trust is the foundation of B&T’s relationship, therefore, they might be able to overcome anything.- Have a happy birthday and keep the wheels of this story turning and unfolding. Tina may have gotten fucked by Pete, but Bette surely has fucked herself. Whether or not Tina conceives as a result of this, the plan was truly ill-conceived.

It’s alot like “Indecent Proposal” the movie, but so much better. Me think Bette is going to have a problem with this one. I know I could not deal with it. Love this story ally, keep the chapters coming.

uh yeah, i couldn’t done that unless she had a shower with me of course but the smell and residue of a man still there, ugh, too much!!!!! I never did think that was a good move…& I know for a fact I couldn’t be there…

Hi. I love your writing and find this story interesting. But geez – what a monumentally stupid mistake! They have no idea about this guy – his medical, family or social history. He could also be shooting blanks for all they know, and it could all be for nothing.
glad you didn’t give us the blow by blow. I think if I were Bette, I would have taken a shower with Tina first, but thats just me. Nothing is more of a turn off than smelling a man’s scent on a woman….YOUR woman. pps
I love this story. I think that this would have been a better stroyline for the show in S1. It was a little off the wall but really showed how much they wanted to start a family and how sometimes our judgement is clouded in the pursuit of a goal. Of cours the whole thing would have been easier had they just bought sperm from a sprem bank…..but without all of the potential drama! More please!
I enjoy all your stories. I often wondered what would have happened if they went through with the threesome. I always thought Bette would have stopped it. Great story.
This is such an interesting premise for a story. The fact that to begin with Bette willingly gave up the control and now she has to deal with the consequences with noone but herself to blame. I’m very intereste to see where you take this
