Leave the Memories Alone: Chapter 18

    Chapter 18

Helena’s house was giant and Tina couldn’t help but stare in awe. Bette laughed at her reaction then took her hand to lead her to the door.

They rang the door bell and the door was opened by a woman with short brown hair. "Hey Dylan," Bette said.

"Oh hi ladies! Come on in," Dylan said. She glanced at Tina then said, "I don’t think you remember me I’m Dylan, Helena’s wife."

    "No I don’t, I’m sorry," Tina said.

"It’s alright, that just means we have to get to know each other again," Dylan said with a kind smile, "I don’t have a problem with that."

    Tina smiled, "thank you."

"See T, everyone loves and supports you," Bette said.

"You got that right darling," Helena said walking into the room. She pulled Bette into a gentle hug then hugged Tina.

"Johnathan is awake but he’s calm," Dylan said.

Bette looked surprised, "really? He cries a lot more than Angie did."

"Babies have moods darling, Johnathan is grumpy most of the time," Helena said, "but not all the time."

"Guess you got lucky," Bette laughed. "I’ll go get him."

"The tube will probably get him all testy, you should let Felix drive you," Helena said.

"And make your driver work?" Bette said.

"That’s what he’s paid to do darling," Helena said.

"I’ll let him know," Dylan said leaving the room.

Bette sighed then walked into the other room.

Helena smiled at Tina and said, "how are you doing love?"

"I’ve been better," Tina said, "some days I get a lot of memories all mixed up and I get overwhelmed, and some days I have no memories at all."

"And I assume the memories are mixed so you have to make sense of them," Helena said.

Tina nodded, "it gives me headaches."

"Well maybe you need to stop trying to remember everything at once," Helena said, "let everything fall into place on it’s own."

    "You’re right," Tina sighed.

"You should go back to your regular life, take pictures again, set up another show," Helena said.

"Hmm that’s a good idea," Tina said.

"Yeah and you and I could go shopping like we used to do all the time," Helena said.

"I’d like that, I really do wanna remember you," Tina said.

    1. Thanks for the update. I really like this story and the flow you have it going in. I also like that Helena is a good person in this one as well. Deep down, I think she really has a good heart though I know that many of you don’t. But, hey, that’s just me… Great that Tina remembered.
