    Helena tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, and Shane unbuttoned the first two buttons on her shirt. Helena looked away and grabbed the cards.

    Chapter 2

     

                    Alice, Tasha, Helena and Papi were playing a poker game at Alice’s apartment. Papi kissed her date on the cheek as she took a seat on her lap. Helena took a drink of her beer and sighed heavily. Alice looked at her hand and threw it on the table.

    “I’m out,” she flung her hair out of her face and leaned back in her chair.

    “Tash?” Papi looked at her friend, and Tasha shook her head.

    “I’m out too,” she threw her hand on the table. Papi turned her eyes at Helena.

    “What about you?” Helena smirked and laid her hand down.

    “A royal flush baby,” Papi groaned as she threw her hand on the table, and Helena chuckled. She pulled all her winnings towards her and smiled.

    “How is it that you always win every hand?”

    “I guess you can call it luck,” she winked at Alice as she began to count her money. Alice had a knock on the door, and she got up.

    “I wonder who that is,” she walked over to the door and answered it. Papi looked up and smiled.

    “Hey—what’s up vanilla spice,” Shane walked into the living room with beer in hand, and Helena swallowed hard.

    “What’s up Pops,” she smiled as she looked over at Helena. “I brought some beer, so if any ones thirsty,” she held up the pack of beer.

    “Thanks Shane,” Alice took the pack of beer in her hands. “I’ll put this in the fridge,” she walked towards the kitchen, and Shane took off her jacket. Shane took a seat next to Helena at the poker table set up in the living room. Helena tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, and Shane unbuttoned the first two buttons on her shirt. Helena looked away and grabbed the cards. Alice back into the living room and took a seat next to Tasha.

    “So what are we playing for?” She shuffled the cards, and Papi shook her head.

    “You cleaned me out Peabody—I’m out this game.”

    “Tasha?”

    “I’m sitting out too, and I know that Alice is definitely out since she spent my last twenty on this game.” Shane smiled as she pulled a cigarette out of her pack. She put it up to her full, ruby lips and lit it. Helena sighed and put the cards on the tables.

    2. LOL, yeah I think Shane’s messing with herself as much as with Helena. She’s not quite ready to admit she actually has feelings for Helena. Am I right? Well am I? Hehe.

    3. hahahaha, I never imagined that you would actually write a sequel to this! Kind of unbelievable relationship, but seriously, why not? I could see the new Helena trip over her words with Shane, and Shane trying to impress, the typical “cool-man” way. It was impressionable, and an excellent read! Thank you for writing!
