IMAGINE ME AND YOU, I DO. Chapter 4


TINAS HOTEL ROOM-SAME NIGHT


Tina and her boyfriend Bryan returned to their hotel room at approximately 1:30am. Bryan was drunk as a skunk, so as soon as his head hits a pillow he was out instantly.

Tina and Bryan have been dating for a little over a year; they had met each other in law school two years ago and now worked for the same law firm in LA. Tina, Bryan, and their two secretaries Pam and Nicole came to Vegas over the weekend to celebrate a big case that Tina had just won, and since Tina was a generous person she automatically treated the secretaries to an all expense trip.

Tina and Bryans relationship had been like a rollercoaster for the past 6 months, and by living and working together it doesnt make matters any better. Tina wasnt big about them working together from the beginning and now more than ever. Tina had thought about working for another law firm on several occasions but whenever the discussion came up, Bryan would somehow managed to talk her out of it. As Tina lay in bed reflecting back on her relationship with Bryan, she knew that something was definitely missing in her life but couldnt put a finger to it. I have a life that most people could only dream of then why am I not happy? Tina asked herself. As Tina drifted off to sleep she couldnt help but think about the beautiful brunette that she had encounter earlier. Bette Porter Tina mumbles to herself with a smile on her face. She knew shed heard of that name before.

INT. VENETIAN CASINO-SATURDAY AFTERNOON

Bette, Shane, and Alice had decided to hang out in the casino for a while after sleeping for almost half a day. As they made their rounds in the casino, Alice announced that she feels lucky and wanted to try her luck at the craps table.

A few minutes later, all three women arrived at the craps table and Alice was ready to play, she exchanged in for $200 worth of the casino chips. Since Alice was the only female playing at the table the men wanted her to roll the dice. Fifteen minutes into the game, everyone who was playing at the table was hollering, hooting and high five-ing each other with after each roll of the dice from Alice. The table was so energized and loud that it started to attract curious onlookers. People who were playing at the table were winning from hundreds to thousands of dollars, depending on how much they risk. Bette and Shane were amazed of the luck that Alice had, Alice was so into the game, and play it like she had known the game all her life. Truth be told, she just learned the game several months ago from the guy that she was dating.

Across the room from the craps table where Bette, Shane, and Alice had resided, there stood Tina, Pam, and Nicole standing at the Blackjack table watching Bryan played a game of Blackjack. All three women had heard the loud commotion that was going on at the table across from them and was wondering what all of the excitement was about. Pam, who was Tinas secretary, asked the women if they wanted to go for a walk then shop since they dont gamble. Nicole said she would but Tina declined and said she had better stay with Bryan. When Bryan heard that Tina didnt want to leave his side, he insists that she go and have some fun with the girls. Tinas annoying look went unnoticed by Bryan, who was practically shooing her away for he was losing and didnt want any one around to distract him.

Tina obediently followed Pam and Nicole, Pam wanted to check out the craps table that was apparently having all of the fun first then they would go to the Grand Canal Shoppes.
As the three ladies approached the craps table, they noticed the table was crowded and people were hovering over each other taking in all of the action. As they got closer, Tina heard a voice that sounded familiar.

At the table Alice was cracking jokes with the players; everyone was winning so of course they were all in a good mood and laughed at whatever Alice had to say.
After 30 minutes with the dice and rolling almost every single number that was known to man, the long hot streak finally came to an end when Alice rolled a 7 and out. When it was over, everyone at the table gave Alice a standing ovation and thank her for a good run for they all had made a lot of money from her hot streak. Alice won $500 and was grinning from ear to ear. Shane and Bette were high five-ing and slapping Alice on the back to congratulate her. Shane was teasing Alice about buying them dinner and going for a booty call that night. As Bette, Shane, and Alice made their way out of a large crowd that was standing behind them, Bette bumped right into Tina and her friends.

The two women stared at each other in shocked for a minute, then Bette broke the silence.

Bette: (grinning) hi stranger.

Tina: (grinning back) hi.

Bette: (feeling awkward and not knowing what to say as Alice, Shane, and Tinas posse were staring at her) sodo you like to shoot craps?

Tina: No, Im just a spectator. (Looking at Alice and smiling) Sounds like you did a great job.

Alice: (blushing) thanks, but it was all luck. (Alice looking at Tina then at her friends and thought of an idea) hey look, I was wondering would you guys like to join us for coffee? My treat.

Bette: (sheepishly asking Tina) would you? Please?

Tina: (Thinking to herself how can I resist that face? Besides, its only coffee) sure, I would love to.
