    Alice talks

    I practically raised myself. My family is the people I chose, not many can say that. When I was a little girl most of the foster parents made us go to church on Sunday. From that I was never an over religious person. But being captured and tortured will make you curse god in one breath and in the next beg for his grace and mercy. Tasha has been my rock through this nightmare that my life is right now. It is taking a toll on her so I told her to take a break and get out for a bit. When she came into the rom I wrote. I asked her to call father Tim. He was there in twenty minutes. Tasha told us that she was stepping out and returning in an hour.

     

    Father Tim sat in the chair. I opened my mouth to speak. My voice was hoarse. He handed me the glass of water off the desk to help. When I spoke again it still sounded alien to me. It sounded nothing like the screams that reverberated in my head.

     

    “Father, I have never been a religious person but I waited for god every day. He seemed to never show as those monster kept kill my soul. I needed him and were did he go? I cried out with no reply. So I held on to what I know" said Alice .

     

    “ Alice , I can’t even begin to fathom what you have been through or the steps that’s its going to take you to heal. But I can tell you that even though you can’t see the invisible, God never left you. The deep reassurance you found to survive and will need to continue is him stand next to you holding your hand. Alice I can promise you were never alone" said Father Tim.

     

    Alice couldn’t speak. It was the first time that she was able to cry.

     

    “I am damaged. No one will ever want to fall in love with me"

     

    "You did nothing wrong. What your body did does not change what happened to you. Do you hear me"? asked Father Tim.

     

    Alice laughed.

     

    "Thank you Father Tim. I won’t burden Bette or Tasha with my nightmares".

    1. Oh my T, this was very very good, first with Alice telling the Father what happened to her and where was God and explain where he was, he was warm, loving and comforting to Al. As for Binks and Mags….WOW!!! great chapter

    2. Excellent story T. Loved the prayer that Tina said after she found out about Bette’s illness. I hope Alice is going to be OK – it’s going to be a long road though. Bette is so cute with Alex. Great chapter here with Alice coming to realize that God was there with her the whole time. I love this story and your writing is awesome. Thank you!

    5. I love it! Je suis heureuse d’avoir vu Celeste et Mimi, si je peux j’achéterai un fil de plusieurs kilomètres et on se promènera dans la maison et le jardin lol. Ok, that was soooo french, right lol! OMG Wimbledon, I almost forgot it… Lybs was crazy this week, A. has to rest for a while, his arm was hurting a lot on wednesday night after the match, he had to put some ice on it (but he won hehe!!). TTYL…
