Dana looked at the beautiful sight as she stood in front of the LA airport arrival entrance. She closed her eyes and inhaled the scent of LA deeply, she never thought she missed the city that much. Hmm, I’m home, she thought and smiled weakly to herself. Then she opened her eyes and slowly headed to the direction of a taxi that stop over. On the way to her house, she looked out through the window to take in the scenery around her. So much has changed, she muttered and exhaled. She shifted her gaze from the window to an invitation card on her hands. I couldn’t believe that Shane is going to marry in a weeks’ time, she smiled to herself. She always thought that Shane and Carmen are meant for each other, but never had thought Shane would gave up her player status and settle down with Carmen. But I’m glad that this happen, she said to herself, sincerely. Then she looked out through the window once again, but this time her mind wondered far away.

Six years had passed, and it seemed like everything had changed around her. She had retired from tennis two years ago, a year after winning the Wimbledon championship, and was now a tennis couch at University of London. She enjoyed her work very much, as tennis was her entire life after she left LA for London years ago. All the while she managed to keep in touch with her friends and get to know what happened around them. She smiled at the thought of her having such a group of friends that keep her going with her life in London. Whenever she felt depressed or unhappy, a phone call or a letter or a photo of them was all she needed to be happy. She was also happy at the accomplishments of her friends. Bette was now the director of the CAC, Tina was a successful producer in which one of her films won the title Best Film at the 2006 Grammy Awards, Shane was a famous hairdresser now, and had just opened her third branch last two months, Carmen and Kit expanded the Planet from two shop lots to four, Jenny won the Most Promising Writer last year, Helena reconciled with her mother and was now seriously expanding the Peabody businesses and Alice, she….. Her smile faded as she thought of the blonde. Throughout the years she had been relying on her friends to know about Alice’s well being. But there wasn’t much to hear from them as Alice would only call them once or twice in a year. All she heard was that Alice being promoted to chief editor at New York Daily and was happy with her life. Dana sighed at the little information she had on the blonde. Alice left for New York without her knowledge six years ago, a few weeks after Lara showed up at the Planet. Dana was devastated after she found out about Alice leaving LA. She left for London four months after that, well, after failing to get into contact with Alice despite various attemps to be accurate. Since then she had never see or try to contact Alice, thinking that Alice must have hated her very much after what she said in a concert six years ago.
