Hi Alice Dana said as she looked away insecurity and embarrassment plastered over her face. Alice stood floored for a moment but quickly stepped to the side when she seen the look of desperation Danas face.

Uh come in, she said. Alice was about to close the door when Dana spoke.

Um theres someone out there.

You brought Ton. Alice said with conviction in her voice. Just then, Bette stepped into site equally as bruised as Dana. It seems that the both of them had showed up at Alices over an hour ago, Dana had left the house after she told Tonya she could not marry her and Tonya didnt take the news very well. She punched Dana and then started throwing various objects around the room at her, even the picture Bette gave her. Bette couldnt sleep after Tina had left, she needed someone to talk to and Alice was her first choice. She arrived to find Tinas car outside and became torn in whether to go home or try to talk to Tina. Bette gazed out the window of her car only to find Dana pacing on the sidewalk. Dana was making her way back to her SUV when Bette rolled her window down and called her over. She quickly walked over and hopped into the passenger side and then they began telling each other stories of their fresh scars.

Alice can I talk to Bette whispered but she was interrupted by Alice.

What the ***** are you doing here? Alices words were cold and cut like a knife.

I really need to talk to her Alice she pleaded.

Thats for Tina to decide Alice stated as she nodded toward the bedroom door. Bette quickly scurried to Alices room gently opening the door and closing it as quiet as possible.

Dana and Alice were left alone in the living room both struggling to find the courage to speak to the other.

So Alice broke the silence, what the ***** happened to you her eyes questioning Dana and giving her a once over. There were scratches in various places on Danas face and there was a bruise that was turning blue under her eye.

Tonya happened to me, she said flatly. Alice looked at Dana shocked at what she had just let slip from her lips.

Alices Room
Tina, baby Im sorry it will never happen again if you could just give me another chance I Bette stopped looking intently at Tina. She had fallen asleep for third time since Bette had arrived. Bette looked at her with disbelief what the ***** she then kicked off her shoes and climbed in bed with Tina whispering I Love You as she fell asleep.


The Kitchen
And then she told me to get the ***** out Dana stated as Alice cleaned and bandaged her bruised friend.

And you did? Alice shot back with a confused look on her face. Dana looked at Alice with the same confusion.

Its your house Dana Alice screamed. She looked at Alice as if she had answered a million-dollar question.

Oh *****, yea it is that ***** Dana exclaimed. Alice laughed typical Dana moments later Dana joined Alice in laughter. After they stopped laughing Dana caught Alice in a stare their eyes never left each other. Dana reached up to cup Alices face, she moved in slow to kiss Alice.

Dont Alice whispered weakly, her body not agreeing with her mind.

I thought this is what you wanted Alice Dana said her face smeared with hurt because of Alices rejection.

I do but I dont want to be another one of your rebound relationships Danas face dropped to the floor, I mean come on thats what Tonya was and I want more than that.

Dana was now struggling with what she wanted to say, the words were right there on the tip of her tongue but all she did was turn and leave Alice standing in the middle of her kitchen bewildered.
