Gong Ho Mission – Chapter 3
GUNG HO MISSION – CHAPTER 3
Remember me? Alice. Well Im not very good at writing myself in the third person so I decided to write myself from my point of view, in first person. So much easier. So at that point of the story, while Shane and Dana were kicking it back and Kit was hashing it out with Steven and Harry, I was sitting at my desk at the magazine going through a lot of personal notes. I was convinced that there was something fishy with that war but I wasnt able to put my finger on it but I was sure I had found THE story for a Pulitzer.
I was sure that the new special mission was hiding something huge. Why, because usually it was the NASA who was in charge of the space program. But that mission was supervised by the ISA. The ISA had been created with the war in mind to coordinate what I will call the World Army. They never tried to do the same thing that NASA was doing in the space program. I was convinced that the mission was something bigger. But the information I had collected till now was guiding me to think that the mission was going to be more than vital in the war settlement. The ISA was saying it was just a mission to retrieve some battle equipment from the space station on Jupiter. What they are thinking? That Im stupid? Im not buying your bullshit ISA and IM going to find out what they are all about. Trust me. IM going to get myself on that mission one way or another.
So later that day, I was back at home trying to find a way to put myself on that space mission when somebody knocked on my door. I opened the door to find my best friend Lara Perkins. She looked as she always looked. Fresh and natural. Her red hair was tied in a ponytail leaving her face bare highlighting her gorgeous cheekbones. She was dressed simple as always in a low hip pair of jeans and a crimson t-shirt that brought out the green of her eyes. She was literally the epitome of the girl next door. I dont think shed expected our little conversation to go the way it did.
