    Finding Alex 2

This chapter focuses more on The OC. Itll hopefully give more insite into the characters. Marissa is a spoiled rich kid from Orange County, who last year dated this guy from Chino named Ryan who lives with the Cohens. They broke up after he left to help a woman who possibly is carrying his child. Marissas mother Julie married Kirsten Cohens father Caleb Nichol. Marissa recently started dating Alex after Alex and Seth, Ryans best friend, broke up. Marissas best friend is Summer who used to date Seth and still seems to have feelings for him.

Groaning Marissa slammed her hand down on her alarm clock. Unfortunately this did not turn off the earsplitting alarm, but instead knocked it on the ground. Dragging herself out of bed, she reached down and turned it off and almost fell into the comforting grasp of her blanket. If not for the fact she had to be at a coffee place in West Hollywood she probably would have.

Stumbling around, Marissa managed to take a shower and get dressed. She decided to wear the black t-shirt Alex had given her which had become a treasured item. Alex always used to say she looked amazing in it. Plus, she wore it the day that she finally figured out why her heart always fluttered around Alex. A knock on the door startled her out of her musing.

Marissa, honey, its mom, Julie Cooper attempted to open the door, but found it locked.

Taking a deep breath, Marissa prepared to face her mother, What do you want?

Well for starters how about you unlock this door, Julies irritation was beginning to show.

Rolling her eyes, Marissa walked to the door and swung it open, Well?

Julie stepped passed her daughter and observed the dark room, Honey, you know if you let a little light in this room, it would not look so dreary.

I was asleep, Marissa squinted watching her mother tear open the curtains.

Are you going out? Julie asked noticing her daughter was dressed up.

Marissa grabbed her purse off her dresser, Yeah.

Well, where are you going? Are you hanging out with Summer, I hear there is a fire sale at South Coast Boutique, Julie rambled elated that her daughter finally was leaving her room.
