Chapter 3
Tina was amazed when she saw the woman in front of her. It seemed too much to take in that this was really Bette Porter, the woman of her life. It couldn’t be her… It was simply impossible, right? Bette had changed so much, but she was still the same. She still had those big, ebony eyes Tina knew she could drown in. She was older, but still as beautiful as she had been in the blonde’s memory. Hell, she was even more beautiful. She couldn’t deny it – Bette looked so hot in her power suit. Tina wouldn’t want to have a fight with this woman. But this woman was now looking at her and in her eyes lay the feelings that were raging through her own body right now. She heard her speak her name and her body reacted to it, goosebumps forming everywhere. She opened her mouth, but didn’t know what to say and closed it again. Bette stood up and came closer to Tina, who was still speechless.
The blonde surrendered to her deepest cravings and fell in Bette’s arms. The tears broke through and she started sobbing heavily. This was what she had waited for for so long. This was what she had dreamt of for seventeen years. She had written so many letters, not one of them returned. She had found a way to get Bette’s address, but it seemed as if Bette just ignored her. It had broken Tina’s heart, but she had never forgotten about the girl that had turned her world upside down when she was only seventeen years old. In the end, a year seemed a small part of her life. But she also knew it was the most important one, the one that had made her who she was.
She felt ashamed that she had neglected the person she had become because of Bette. Not only a better one, but also a more complete one. She had denied her real self for so long, but Bette had opened it up and Tina’s life had grown so much better. After the stunning brunette had left, however, she had closed her true self again. She had married a man, a boring man that was frankly a pig. She had always known he would become like this. All guys did. But he was so different from Bette, he was her complete opposite, and that had been what she needed. Not a reminder of the love of her life. Thoughts of an old, romantic Henry and the typical football-watching pizza-eating ignorant man he had become in the year after their marriage, automatically lead to the only beautiful thing he had given her: her daughter. Elisabeth.

Parents can be so controling, which I believe that Melvin was. That is a good way to lose the Love and Respect of your child. Have got to fell for both of then thanks

I knew it that freakin Melvin he took thier letters and kept them from each other. I hope they can get through all the bull and at least become best friends again and maybe after a while a lot more than friends. Henry is an ass anyway how do you forget to feed your child just because you are watching something on tv and the way he keeps dissrespecting Tina’ friends calling them dykes annd being a jerk. PPVS
