    Back to the Present
Bette was still sat at her desk, watching her clock tick at such an agonisingly slow pace, when she thought she heard a familiar voice out in the main gallery. She stood up from her desk and went to investigate.

After finally getting a break from her new job, Tina decided it was about time she got to know the town where she was living. After changing into some clean trousers she headed out again. Not really knowing why, she decided to head in the direction she had seen Bette take off in. She grabbed another cup of coffee from a little place called The Planet and carried on with her exploration. It didnt take her long to forget her surroundings as her mind began to get flooded with pictures of one Miss Bette Porter.

She carried on walking for what must have been about half an hour when Tina realised she had absolutely no clue where she was. She quickly spun round a few times, panicking, trying to find some clue of where she was when suddenly, something caught her eye.
No, she thought, that cant possibly be right. Its just a coincidence, thats all. I wonder though and headed off to check out her discovery.

Bette was sooo grateful that her ears hadnt been deceiving her. She smiled and carried on walking further into the gallery.
What do you mean you cant let me in to see Bette Porter?!? We happen to be very good friends and she will sooo kick your arse out of here when I tell her all about this. In fact I might even ask if I can watch so I can have a good laugh at your expense.
Alice, Alice, Alice. Calm down. James is only doing his job. It is good to see you though. Im going crazy. I need to talk to you about Bette suddenly froze. From the corner of her eye she could have sworn she just sawdont be silly Porter. Damn, that girl has really gotten to me. Realising both Alice and James were giving her funny looks she grabbed Alice by the hand and dragged her into her office.

PORTER!!! Slow down. Geez, whats gotten into you today? Youre acting stranger than usual. Come on. Spill. I can just feel that this is going to be good. Call it reporter instincts.
Youve only been a reporter for what? A week? And you reckon you already have the instinct? Give me a break.

Tina hesitantly walked closer and closer to what she thought she was imagining. She walked past the windows to try and look inside. She thought this might help her try and decide whether to be spontaneous for a change and dare to go in. Ok, ok, I can do this. Besides, it should be fun. Apart from the fact Im probably about to make a huge fool of myself. And so she opened the door and walked in.

James, seeing Tina enter the gallery walked over to greet her. Hi. My name is James. Welcome to the gallery. Do you just wish to browse or would you like a guide?
Hi. Im Tina. She spoke, offering her hand to James. You have guides for this place?
Actually we have the best guide in work today. In fact its Bette Porter herself. Dont tell her I called her a guide though. I dread to think what she would do to me. He said with a smile.
I do actually really enjoy looking at art by myself but I think it could be pretty cool to get a professionals opinion on things for a change. Do you think she would mind?
Dont be silly. She loves it. It is the whole reason why she started this gallery. Besides, a gorgeous girl like yourself, how could she refuse? And with that he went to find Bette.

James knocked lightly on Bettes office door and entered. Alice was walking backwards and forwards while Bette sat at her desk with her head resting on it. Erm, sorry to interrupt Bette but there is a customer out front that would like a professional opinion while she browses your collection.
Ok James. Thanks. Ill be right out. Alice, stay here. And dont touch ANYTHING. Got it? Yes Sir! With that Bette stood up and left Alice to her own devices.

    1. Hey there, I’m a fellow new writer, I hear ya… to me visualization works – the scene is unfolding before my mind’s eyes. To me it helps to imagine that I’m there. Beside than that, I sometimes just write the outline of the story then fill in how I want the conversation to go. I’m on for the ride.. bring it on! Am looking forward to your next chapter!
