Tina handed Bette a bottle of Pellegrino and a glass, then sat across from her.
Bette thanked Tina for the water and then raised her eyebrow in question to the seating positions.
“I can’t think straight when I’m too close to you,” Tina offered in answer. The blonde knew too well the effects the brunette had on her.
“Right.” The brunette understood that and also agreed even though she didn’t like being this far from Tina. “Andrew.” She said.
Tina dropped her eyes, not really knowing what it is she wanted Bette to know, but knew she had to clear that part up. “Where do I start?” she asked rhetorically.
“Right I met Andrew a year after our break up,” the blonde began. “It was a bunch of us from the office out after we’d wrapped ‘Stand’. We went to this place Alice had been raving about since her arrival.”
The brunette sat tense and wasn’t liking any of what she was about to hear. She felt like a jealous teenager who could be described as obsessed.
“So we were out and as the night wore on, the drinks flowed faster and friend making was easy.” Tina continued, well aware of her squirming lover. “Alice and Carmen had arrived to join us by then and since I was still pining and hating you, they were there to help me have a good time, as they put it.” Tina smiled in memory of that day.
Bette felt a pang of hurt at seeing the look on Tina’s face. She looked far away in thought as she finished. The brunette leant forward to pick up her water and avoid asking Tina to stop. Tina caught Bette’s pained expression and couldn’t resist any longer and stood up to sit next to Bette.
The brunette pulled her lover closer to her, giving Tina the confidence to swing her legs sideways onto Bette’s lap. She was half sitting on the couch and half on her lovers lap. Bette gathered Tina’s knees to lay comfortably over her lap.
“And then?” Bette urged Tina, feeling better with her this close. They had always sat this way, especially when they had their talks and didn’t want to get carried away.

Getting complicated, love it
Great update. Why oh why didn’t Bette just tell cassy that she has someone in her life now and she would not see her ever again, so simple to do and not cause all the complications with Tina. Bette just seems to ask for trouble with stupid assed decisions and this was a big one. Hope you will make this better and quickly. Now she didn’t really want to hear about andrew so why the hell would she think Tina wants to know that cassy is coming back to see Bette and be with her. Dumb,dumb,dumb. Just read all the chapters again because I wasn’t sure if it was the same story, the title of the story was not shown on these last two chapters. Thanks for posting.
I’ve been silently following your story and here’s what I’ve gathered so far. Complications in life caused Bette to dump Tina; Tina finds solace in the arms of a man (which for some reason cuts Bette to the core); Bette knows that she still loves Tina and yet Tina is the one who initiates a reconciliation; Tina tells Bette about Andrew and Bette has a chick coming over from out of the country. 😕 Hmmmmmm …………….. Bette is a coward, and a lazy one at that. She dumps Tina because she is too lazy to work on their relationship and she’s a coward for not telling Tina how she feels. As far as I’m concerned, Tina wears the pants in this relationship and Is the big spoon. Nice story btw, but this Bette sucks and Tina is my hero. Probably better off with Andrew. Thanks ✊😃

I do like the way to tell a story. First Andrew and now Cassy. Are Ashley and Cassy the same person or are there more women coming out of the woodwork now that Tina is back in the picture…hmm? Please continue.

Wow! Don’t know what to say. Is Bette just purely an idiot or what? She wants her cake and eat it too. SHe should have told Cassy she couldn’t meet with her because she’s involved with someone. Bette, get your head out of your ass. Sex isn’t always the answer.
