Bette finished her toast to Dana and Tonya and without another word to anyone walked out of the Planet and headed home. Once she got home she changed clothes, grabbed a glass and a bottle of scotch and headed out by the pool. She couldnt believe the day she had and just wanted to erase it completely from her mind. She wanted to be numb of all the pain.
Tina arrived home later. She went by Bettes room to check on her and was surprised to find that she was not there. As she went looking through the house she soon saw her out sitting by the pool. Tina slowly opened the patio door and went out.
Tina: Bette, are you alright?
Bette: You mean, except for the fact that this has been the worst ***** day of my life. Ive got to hand it to you Miss Kennard. You played me well, so well in fact that I never saw it coming.
I am such a ***** idiot. I was so ***** happy when you came home. My life had meaning again. I cant believe I ***** thought that you would even consider giving me a second chance. I would have never believed it in a million ***** years that you were just sitting me up. I would have never ***** believed that you could ***** hate me that much.
I just bet you couldnt wait to stick the ***** dagger into my heart and ***** twist it. I bet that gave you real ***** pleasure. And to have Helena ***** Peabody be the one to ***** tell me. Im ***** impressed Miss Kennard. I would have never imagined, you of all ***** people, to have it in you.
But that wasnt ***** good enough for you, was it? You didnt think that you had ***** ripped my heart out enough. You had to then bring that ***** ***** to the bachelorettes party. You had to ***** rub my nose in it. You know, I realize that what I did was ***** unforgivable and I will regret it until the day I ***** die. But I never intentionally set out to ***** hurt you. But you, this whole ***** get even scenario. I cant ***** believe you would plan something so ***** elaborate just to ***** destroy me.
Well, my hats off to you Miss Kennard. When you ***** looked me in the eye and said who said Helena is not wanted well you got your ***** wish. I hope you are ***** happy. I hope you ***** feel avenged. I ***** get it now. This was just all one big ***** joke to you, one big ***** payback for my huge ***** mistake. Bravo, Miss Kennard.
Bette gets up and stumbles. Tina reaches out to steady her.
Bette: Dont ***** touch me, not after you ***** touched her, ***** held her in your arms. Dont ever ***** touch me again.
Bette stumbles her way to the bedroom, slams the door closed and stumbles to bed. Tina gets ready for bed thinking that Bette just needs to sleep off the alcohol. The next morning, Tina is awakened by the sounds of Bette puking her guts out. She gets up and goes to her.
Tina: Bette, are you okay? Is there anything I can do? Anything you need?
Bette wipes her mouth with the back of her hand and proceeds to get up. She looks at Tina with heart wrenching pain in her eyes.
Bette: There is only one ***** thing I need from you, Miss Kennard, and that is for you to get out of my ***** life.
Bette turns and walks away leaving Tina speechless. Is this the way it was going to end? Had they come to a crossroads. It was now Tinas turn to go puke.

Damn….after Sunday I am feeling very little love for Tina…I can really see your scenario….very cleansing for Bette! Now where to go?

Wow, I have goosebumps this is so good! Thank you for letting Bette rant. I have been anti-Tina for so long that it’s nice for a little vindication. Bette drunk and hurt is not pretty (well, always pretty but you know what I mean), but you’ve let her say what needs to be said. Those eggshells all around Tina have finally been crushed, and intentionally. Thank goodness.

Shades, you pegged it exactly. First, I can’t believe the writers chickened out on showing Bette’s reaction to finding Tina pregnant via Helena. I think you captured Bette exactly how she would have reacted. I, for one, am just about fed up with the “hurting Tina” routine. It’s a shame the writers can’t manage to sit them down for the conversations that really need to be happening between them. BTW, don’t forget about Bette Exposed. This has to be one of the best storylines I have read in a long time and I’m very interested to see where you go with this.

great, i would love to see this actually happen next week i do think the writters are skipping over a few things ie Bettes reaction to the preg.i would have given Tina more credit at this stage to at least talk things through woth Bette.im a total Bette fan so im feeling alittle hard done by …. on her behalf you understand…..
I loved it —I wanted Bette to say something to her at the party. You did a great job expressing the pain Bette was in–I ‘m glad I got a conversation from them–I wish the show would do that.
I hated Sunday’s show–I can’t wait to read more of your stories.
From pictures of future episodes, we see Bette and Tina smiling at each other and seemingly talking. If they can find the friendship they once had, who knows where they can go. All is not lost. Tina said she was curious to be with other women. Well, now she has her chance. Perhaps she is learning too that lasting relationships take daily work. Glad you could vent this way. Thanks.
shades, i know exactly how you feel, i’m having trouble writing after this weeks show too…….This amazingly written piece was spot on….Bette was wrong yes but Tina crossed the line………that was just wrong ……..you have captured Bette’s feeling incredibly well here, pity it didn’t play out like that on the show:(…….Thanks:)
ok- that’s it. i am officially retiring from writing these stories. i actually just watched Sunday’s episode this afternoon (had it TIVOed)and as i turned it off, remarked out loud how much i disliked Tina and her actions. i think that the writers are stretching the imagination of the viewers to have us believe that the woman (Tina) that we saw in Season 1 would really act this way, not telling Bette about the pregnancy, bringing Helena to this party…one has to assume that the viewers have a certain level of intelligence and i find this to be out of the realm of consistency.

I just sat and caught up on all the chapters and all I can say is WOW!!! Beautifully written, tear jerker. I’m glad so many people are on Bette’s side b/c to say I was pissed at Tina is an understatement. I was hoping my son wouldn’t come down stairs as I was yelling at the TV. What the hell is IC thinking? Bette is by far the best on the show.. I hope she gets some happiness on the show… let Tina suffer for awhile!
shades, I so agree with you, I understand it is just a tv show, and it is not real, but it seems kind of stupid, the way the writers are going with all of them. I mean at least last year seemed to have some substance, So far this year I think it is so unrealistic, I know Bette needs to see what she is doing wrong, but Tina isnt even trying. Helena is beautiful, but if Tina cant see through her act, let them be together then. Bette can have Carmen
also, I hope Tina Puked for a long time. Go Bette

Deep powerful stuff. To be honest at the end of the first season I had some hate towards Bette for what she did to Tina, but now after seeing all the pain that Bette has gone through and the fact that Tina is seeing Helena the idiot, I’m totally on Bette’s side now and hope that she tells Tina to F*** off.

Wow!! That was incredible! I could see Bette saying all those things in just that way…using the F word constantly…being very formal with Tina (Ms Kennard). I was also very angry with Tina after this episode. Bringing Helena to that party was nothing but pure revenge on her part. If she wants to date again, fine…just not that person, at that party, only hours after they met. I lost so much respect for Tina this week. Thanks for helping me work through some of my anger…I think you should continue on with this storyline. I would love to see where you take our girls, compared to where IC is taking them.

That’s what I’m talking about! I call it as I see it, and this is spot on! Bette did some very hurtful things, but never intentionally and I can’t say the same for Tina after last week’s episode. Tina has a lot to answer for at the moment. IC and company have done a total character assassination on Tina and I also don’t see how they plan to reconcile these two.

Well this was just perfect. After Sunday’s episode I can truthfully say I have no love for Tina at the moment and I hope she get what she deserves from Hel. Too bad we will never get to see this scene but I guess Bette sent her own message with her toast at the party.
I so agree with you about this past week’s ep. It will be hard for them to get back together Tina moved too quickly with Helena bringing her to the party was TOO MUCH the day after she moved back in. WAY TO GO Shades, I’m so tired of Bette getting the shitty end of the stick…….Tina was way out of line in Sunday’s eppy. I can see Bette going completely off on her this way and she needs to. WONDERFUL way to voice everybody’s frustration with Ms. Kennard.
for Bette to learn about Tina’s pregnancy from Helena was just too, too hurtful…….one bottle of scotch probably isn’t enough to erase that type of humiliation –
There is going to come to a point when Tina will have carried this to far. One day Bette is going to say, “I can’t keep on trying, just to have you reject me over and over. So, I am done…get on with your life and I will get on with mine. I have stopped loving you.” Then she should start showing up at the Planet with a hot new chick on her arm every time Tina is there. As long as Tina continues to see Bette alone, Tina has the upper hand. The one thing I can say for Bette is, she never flaunted Candace in Tina’s face. She was at least discrete about it, even after Tina found out.

Well Tina certainly deserved that and it would be good to see Tina being the one who now has to fight to keep Bette knowing she way overstepped the line. But don’t forget BETTE EXPOSED – I love that story, don’t let it go………pleeeezzzz

Girl oh Girl!! That was on f**kin point. You nailed Bette in this story. I agree with everyone in here. That was cold blooded how Tina had the nerve to flaunt Helena in Bette’s face. What Bette did was wrong but damn she didn’t go dangling that s**t in her face. Not to mention the fact that she’s been keeping her pregnancy a secret. I’m sorry I’m just a little upset with the Tina/Bette drama I mean can we get some love here? Anyways, loved the story and keep it up.
Thanks for the chapter, I can not tell you the how painful it was to watch Bette get the news about the baby from Helen. Why is Bette the last one to know about it….again…. I have to say it is really hard to like Ms. Kennard at this point. Please continue…
